For this career you need
to have a flexible schedule
like when you walk in to
work each day you could
start sketching, and
sending off designs and
sewing them together. A
successful designer can
always predict what their
design is going to look like.

Some skills would to be artistic, creative, and
have a lot of imagination.
Have fun with what you do and DO NOT STRESS
OUT!!!!

4. Activities
Some activities to get ready to
be a fashion designer could be
work at a clothes store and go
to fashion shows. See if any
places give fashion or sewing
classes.

5. Classes
Some classes you could
take in college to get
ready are
art, designing, and fashion
classes.

6. Colleges and Degrees
Two good colleges are The Art Institute of
Arizona and The Art Institute of California.
Two degrees you might need are a bachelor’s
and a master’s degree.

7. Why I like this job
I am very good at art and I LOVE it. I have a little
fabric kit so I like to make designs with it. Some
fun things I do is make little fun, crazy, and
whacky ideas. I like math so that will help with
all my sales and what I need to price them as. I
know if I try I might get the job!
