Heb CHAPTERS 8: 9:
Incident: The overpass on route 13 in the direction of Laval recently.
8:1...Now this is the main point: Jesus is our mediator. And if he’s
not, there’s no THRU TRAFFIC. John 14: 6... Jesus says unto him, I am the
way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
! Way>follow him> Truth>listen>Life>emulate

In a hostage crisis, you need: Heb 8:2
• Negotiator // Scam/Pyramid: Investigator // In times of War: Truce
Peacemaker // Event of a Fire: Fire fighter //
• Build a house: Contractor: Restaurant: Waiter // Drowning: Rescuer //
But in the heavenly Sanctuary: Mediator
Heb 12:24...Jesus is the Mediator of the new covenant.>Love: God/Man
And Jeremiah 31:31-34 makes mention of that covenant.
Without Jesus being your Mediator, there’s no THRU TRAFFIC!

The fact is that: Buddha is in:
• Meditation so it can’t pay attention to you // Confucius is so dazed so
it can’t see you // Virgin Mary is dead, so she can’t speak to you //
Holy Cow in India is only a cow... it will just moo at you.
• But Jesus is alive and wants to listen to you!

The Laws of ancient types and shadows were: vs.10
• Given>Now they’re written>they were inscribed in stone. Now they
inscribed in your heart//
You see, you can have a:
• Cross around your neck but not have Jesus Christ in your Heart
• Sing amazing grace but not live in grace
• Talk about love and have everything but love
• Go down a dry sinner and come up a wet sinner
• Go under the water but not be under the blood
Sing your way to hell with the bible in one hand and the hymnal in the other
• But if Jesus is not your Mediator, there’s no THRU TRAFFIC
Why? Because you’ve confused motion with progress. >? Treadmill>

2. You can: be going through the motions but not making progress.
• Give gifts to those who are disenfranchised>at Christmas time
• Healthcare Professional or volunteer //
• Rich and Powerful: Give financial donations…starving people
• Religious: Sacrifice your time Visiting, Feeding, Encouraging,
Praying, and Loving>Personal Saviour
• Committee & social services: Help a brother, sister, stranger, friend,
churched and preach your heart out...
• Educators: theology>other disciplines, if Jesus is not your
Mediator...you’ll just be going through these motions but not making
progress.

The ancient types and shadows were about:
• An Earthly priest // Animal Blood / Consecration/ Offerings &
Sacrifices/Sins
But in Heb 9:15, the Bible speaks of:
• A heavenly Priest /Mediator: A new Covenant/ Promises that Jesus
has made/ spiritual heritage & redemption, and Jesus’ Blood.
Bible says: All this time you are out on Parole, Christ died for you. Heb
9:16, your Mediator’s death breached the gap between earth and heaven with
a ladder in the O.T. & a Cross in the N.T.

In Genesis 28:12, Jacob wonders how he’s ever going to have access to God,
while John’s Gospel establishes that through Jesus, sinners have access to
God, anytime, anywhere, anyhow.
Heb 9:17, Jesus has willed his testament in your name. Let me read

 Earthly Sanctuary Heavenly Sanctuary
Heb 9:27...And it is appointed for men to die once, but after this, the
judgement.
! If you don’t have Jesus as Mediator, you’re at an impasse in this Poem:

• When they work and overwork, evidently, they’ll become ill. Soon
their visit to the doctor will end in the prescription of pills.
• However, if their recovery is indeterminate, their next step is to write
their will.
• But what if none of the above happens and by accident they get
killed?
• And there’s no one to mediate while the THRU TRAFFIC is still.
• Have you wonder what would happen if Jesus would show up on the
scene?
• And point you to his mediation which he has performed on Calvary’s
Hill
• But the fact of the matter is, you just want your loves ones healed
• Having chosen Jesus as your mediator, you’ll be sure! He’ll intervene

“Solomon concludes all is vanity.”
Heb 9:28... So Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those
who eagerly wait for him [including your love ones who died in a tragic
accident or otherwise], will appear the second time, apart from sin, for
salvation.
1 Timothy 2:5...For [there is] one God, and one mediator between God and
men, the man Christ Jesus.
! If Christ Jesus had not been crucified breaching the gap between heaven
and earth, there would not have been any THRU TRAFFIC!
