11. Recent News ITEC 2008 - Stockholm Sweden June 2008 VSD attended the ITEC conference this past June in Stockholm, Sweden. ITEC is the only conference outside the United States that is solely dedicated to defense training, simulation, and education. In attendance at ITEC were senior officials and procurement officers from the international military and defense industry. VSD exhibited their computer-based training capabilities as well as the Vilo™ Enterprise Training Development Software Suite. VSD Selected for Innovative VALET Program June 2008 VSD, along with seven other Virginia based companies were recently accepted as participants in the July 2008 Class of the Virginia Leaders in Export Trade (VALET) Program. For the next two years VSD will work with Virginia Economic Development Partnership to integrate strategic plans, capital resources, and professional services that will support our business growth internationally. VALET provides resources that are guaranteed to be instrumental in our continued success as a company! VSD awarded contract from VDOT September 2008 VSD received official confirmation of award of a contract from the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) for adjunct Instructional System Designers.
12. Recent News ASTD 2008 Exhibition June 2008 VSD attended the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) 2008 International Conference & Exposition in San Diego June 1-4, 2008. ASTD leads the field in bringing forth new concepts and best practices every year. VSD exhibited our Computer-Based Training capabilities and Vilo™ Enterprise Training Development Software Suite. The event allowed us the opportunity to reach many new clients and to raise our brand awareness. Being part of ASTD was so successful that we have already reserved a space (booth #2932) for the 2009 conference in Washington DC.
