REVIEW CLASS Avaliação Mista II
Present Perfect Form : [has/have + past participle] Examples : You  have seen  that movie many times.  Have  you  seen  that movie many times?  You  have not seen  that movie many times.
USE 1 - Unspecified Time Before Now We use the Present Perfect to say that an action happened at an unspecified time before now. The exact time is not important.
Examples: I  have seen  that movie twenty times.  I think I  have met  him once before.  There  have been  many earthquakes in California.  People  have traveled  to the Moon.  People  have not traveled  to Mars.  Have  you  read  the book yet?  Nobody  has  ever  climbed  that mountain.  A:  Has  there ever  been  a war in the United States? B: Yes, there  has been  a war in the United States.
USE 2 - Duration From the Past Until Now (Non-Continuous Verbs)
Examples: I  have had  a cold for two weeks.  She  has been  to England for six months.  Mary  has loved  chocolate since she was a little girl.
Kate:  Have you ever .......... to New York? Sophie : New York? No I've never .......... there. Have you? Kate:  Yes. In fact I've just .......... back from there. I'm doing some consultancy work there and I've .......... at least six weeks there in the last year. Sophie:  That sounds fabulous. Have you .......... to the top of the Empire State Building?  Kate:  No, I .......... yet. I haven't .......... the ferry to Ellis Island either. I've just .......... work so hard. Though I have .......... dinner at Sardi's and .......... a Broadway show.
Kate : Have you ever  been  to New York? Sophie : New York? No I've never  been  there. Have you? Kate : Yes. In fact I've just  come  back from there. I'm doing some consultancy work there and I've  spent  at least six weeks there in the last year. Sophie : That sounds fabulous. Have you  gone up  to the top of the Empire State Building?  Kate : No, I  haven’t  yet. I haven't  taken  the ferry to Ellis Island either. I've just  had to  work so hard. Though I have  had  dinner at Sardi's and  seen  a Broadway show.

Zero Conditional Talk about things that are always true. Laws of nature if => when If  (simple present), (simple present) .   (simple present) if (simple present) .
When air expands, it becomes lighter.
First Conditional Talk about possible situations in the future. If  (simple present), (will + verb) .   (will + verb) if (simple present) .
If they don’t stop messing around, I’ll call the police.
Second Conditional Talk about imaginary or unlikely situations. If  (simple past), (would + verb) .   (would + verb) if (simple past) .
If I lived in Rio de Janeiro, I would go to the beach every weekend.
