Forest Fields as the name originates from the local language Malayalam
“Kattuparambil” is a home stay provided by Travel Angels in the city of Kochi
(Cochin). Kattuparambil family is one of the surviving oldest families in
Kochi. The family’s ancestral home is located about 3 kms from the city center
but sits amidst the tranquility of calm waters.
There are six independent bedrooms, with private attached toilet/bathrooms.
Each bedroom can accommodate an individual or family. The rooms are
traditionally decorated but provide all the modern amenities required like
Wifi service and cable television.
3. For authentic local delicacies, you can step in to the
dining areas of Forest Fields. The specialties here
include ethnic delicacies, cooked with the utmost
care and affection for our exclusive house guests. For
those prefer a different palate of food, can be also
served on prior request.
All your needs for cultural exploration can be
taken care by us. It is a sight that is inspiring and
a feeling that needs to be experienced.
Be it cruising gently over the many canal
networks in the backwaters stretches of Kerala
which is indeed a pleasurable experience that
many would love to do again and again.
The picturesque settings for a canal boat ride, where the boat moves amidst
lush green all around with majestic coconut tress lined up as if for a guard of
honor.
Indulge in a trip aboard the famous house boats
to the Koram Kotta Village Island , to learn the art
of pottery or Coconut Palm Leaf Weaving from
the local hands or learn the mysterious workings
of a Chinese fishing nets.
4. Proceed on journey down the memory lane
visiting the Old Jew Town or the Bolghatty
Palace. Visit the remains of the great discoverer
Vasco de Gama in the heritage town of Fort
Kochi or say a prayer at the Santa Cruz Basilica.
The Basilica columns decorated with frescoes
and murals, the seven large canvas paintings on
the passion and death on the Cross, especially the
painting of the Last Supper, modeled on the
famous painting of Leonardo da Vinci and the beautiful stained glass windows
add to the artistic grandeur of the place. The paintings that adorn the ceiling
depict scenes from the life of Christ.
As the sun sets, enjoy an evening with the
traditional ballet called Kathakali and
experience the thrill of the local martial arts
