Nancy Elizondo Leal #8 8’’E’’ Octubre/15/09 Español Mrs. Natalia Ramírez Todo por Amor Hace mucho tiempo en un reino muy lejano, vivía un príncipe de nombre Manuel, que siempre había soñado con gobernar el reino, pero para que eso sucediera él tenía casarse con una princesa. El príncipe ya tuvo la oportunidad de platicar y salir con muchas princesas de diversos reinos, pero él siempre dijo que ninguna de ellas era su verdadero amor. Sus padres ya querían que se casara, incluso hicieron todo lo posible para que el príncipe se casara con una princesa que él ya conocía, pero él simplemente les dijo que no, ella no era la indicada. Un día caminando por el reino, Manuel entró a una panadería, ahí vió a una hermosa muchacha más o menos de su edad, nada más la vió quedó profundamente enamorado de ella. El príncipe salió de la panadería y se sentó afuera en una banca, el quería hablar con ella pensando que tal vez podría ser su verdadero amor; pero de pronto, se acordó de un detalle, la muchacha de la que él se había enamorado no era una princesa. El muy triste y decepcionado, decidió mejor ir a su castillo y descansar. Por el resto del día el príncipe Manuel estuvo muy triste, no podía dejar en ella, también pasoó lo mismo cuando se fue a dormir ya que no podía quitarse de la mente a esa hermosa muchacha de la que él se había enamorado. Al día siguiente desde muy temprano en la mañana Manuel, sin pensarlo dos veces, decidió ir a la panadería a platicar con ella, pero cuando entró a la panadería no la vio por ningún lado, él no se rindió tan fácilmente, por eso decidió ir a dar un paseo por el bosque y luego regresar a la panadería para ver si había regresado la muchacha. En su paseo por el bosque, oyó la voz de alguien al cantar, así que él se asomó para ver quién era, y se dio cuenta que la voz provenía de la misma muchacha que vio en la panadería. Muy nervioso el príncipe se acercó ella y la saludó, ellas viendo que él era príncipe del reino también lo saludó. Después el príncipe le preguntó cómo se llamaba y ella le dijo que su nombre era Lucía. Manuel y Lucía estuvieron horas platicando, se estebaban llevando muy bien hasta que de pronto, Lucía se acordó que tenía que ir a trabajar, ella salió corriendo y el príncipe ni siquiera pudo despedirse y ponerse de acuerdo para volverla a ver. Manuel siguió el mismo camino que ella había tomado y cuando llegó a la panadería vio como los papás de Lucía la regañaban por no haber llegado a trabajar a tiempo y por tenerlos preocupados. Al día siguiente el príncipe fue otra vez a la panadería a verla, ahí la invitó a salir, sin embargo ella le explicó que no podía ya que estaba castigada por lo del día anterior, pero cuando ya el príncipe se iba, ella le dijo que lo esperara en el bosque. Cuando llegó Lucía, el príncipe pronto le preguntó cómo le había hecho para venir si estaba castigada, y ella le contestó que podría meterse en problemas sólo para poder verlo. En ese momento Manuel se dio cuenta que él estaba profundamente enamorado de ella, y que no se había equivocado, Lucía era su verdadero amor. Así pasaron los días, ellos se seguían viendo a escondidas, pero se rumoraba que el príncipe estaba saliendo con la hija del panadero. Cuando los reyes se enteraron de esto, ellos hablaron con él y le dijeron que como podía estar pasando eso, que él se debería de casar con una princesa para gobernar. Él sólo les dijo que si Lucía era capaz de meterse en problemas parar verlo, él también podría arruinar su sueño de gobernar el reino tan sólo para estar junto a ella. Los papás de Lucía también se enojaron al oír lo que estaba pasando ya que ella estaba saliendo sin permiso. Manuel y Lucía al día siguiente se vieron a escondidas y decidieron hablar los dos con los papás de cada uno para explicarles que estaban enamorados, y así lo hicieron, después de que hablaron con ellos, los papás de los dos aceptaron el amor de sus hijos. Una vez que el príncipe le pidió a Lucía su mano en el matrimonio, ellos empezaron a preparar todo lo necesario para la boda. Los días pasaron volando y llegó el día de la boda, fue muy grande y bonita. Después de la luna de miel, ellos decidieron construir una pequeña casa en el bosque donde hace más de un año platicaron por primera vez. Nathalie Campos Flores 9A #1 Mrs. Esther Villareal Español Colegio San Patricio Un sueño inesperado Había una vez una niña llamada Alexa, ella era muy inteligente, feliz, correcta y amistosa. Vivía en México pero un día ella dejó de estudiar y le empezó a ir mal en el colegio. Sus amigos(a) la querían mucho por su personalidad, pero también por sus rasgos físicos ella era alta, delgada, con pelo café y rayos azules, sus ojos eran cafés y su piel era color perla. Ella Empezó a tener problemas en su casa con sus papás, porque sus calificaciones eran bajas. Al parecer no le importaba mejorarlas, así que sus padres la amenazaron con enviarla a Puebla a estudiar la preparatoria ahí y así no estaría con sus amigos y no tendría distracciones. Alexa se enfadó mucho y se fue sin permiso de su casa por unas horas, estuvo llorando y pensando. “¿Porqué no estudié cuando debí hacerlo?” y también pensaba: ¿qué sería de ella sin sus amigos? Pues ellos eran todo para ella. Instantes después apareció una niña de siete años, pelirroja y chaparra a su lado izquierdo en el puente, le preguntó a Alexa inocentemente que si algo le ocurría, ella se sentía tan mal que necesitaba contárselo a alguien sin importar quien fuera así que le contó. La niña la consoló y le dijo que fuera más responsable y que hablara con sus padres lo antes posible y así probablemente todo mejoraría. Alexa se preguntaba como esa niña podía ser tan sabia, y como pudo aparecer de la nada en el parque. La niña le dijo: “Se lo que piensas y la respuesta a tu pregunta es que soy un fantasma.” Pero uno bueno. Alexa se sorprendió y empezó a reír. La niña se quedó callada. Alexa comprendió que no era una broma y se asustó. La niña le dijo que se fuera a su casa pues no debería de estar sola en un parque y menos a las 10 p.m. Ya que hay gente muy mala por esa colonia en la que ella vivía. Decidió que debía irse a casa y tal vez hablaría con sus padres, pero después, la niña le pidió que si por favor la acompañaba a una casa abandonada y Alexa nada miedosa acepto sin pensarlo. Al entrar vio fantasmas, monstruos y ángeles. Se asustó un poco, así que se fue algo apresurada sin despedirse de la niña. Alexa no llegaba a su casa, por mas que corría, sentía que caminaba en círculos, se sentía atrapada. Estaba muy asustada pedía ayuda pero nadie le contestaba. Entonces entró en pánico. No sabía que hacer. Ella escuchaba voces, gente llamándola. Pero no encontraba a nadie. Estaba sola, de pronto se sentó en la calle y pensó por un largo rato pero aun así no sabía que hacer así que regreso a la casa abandonada, con miedo pero lo hizo. Ya casi era de día y en el cielo había un hermoso arcoíris, lo aprecio por unos instantes, y después decidió entrar a esa horrorosa casa. Al abrir la puerta encontró a la niña y ella le dijo: -¿que pasa? -¡Tu muy bien lo sabes! -Pues… Está bien es cierto lo sé pero lo hice para que aprecies lo que tienes Alexa como tus familiares, amigos y un colegio donde estudiar. También lo hice para que supieras como te sentirías sola en Puebla, sin ellos. Alexa comprendió todo y le agradeció a la criatura. La niña se despidió y le dijo: -Recuerda apreciar lo que tienes sea bueno o malo siempre busca un lado positivo y no tomes el camino fácil toma el difícil porque es el que te hará más bien en tu vida. En ese momento Alexa despertó, descubrió que todo era un sueño le dio las gracias a Dios y a la niña porque estaba segura deque la niña realmente estuvo con ella. Nancy Elizondo Leal #8 8E October/15/09 Language Arts Mrs. Norma Marks A Magic Night at Magic Kingdom Angela, Sofi, Steve, and Sam are best friends they just finished this school year, now they will pass to Junior High, they live in the beautiful city of Orlando in the state of Florida. This year they all got very good grades and because of that, their parents will allow them to visit one of the Disney parks. The kids, where discussing which park they will choose, Sam proposed to visit Magic Kingdom and everyone agreed. The next day the kids woke very early in the morning, and they gathered in Steve’s house that is very near from Magic Kingdom. When they were all ready they began walking to their destination which was Magic Kingdom. When they arrived the kids were full of excitement, they were all anxious to ride all the attractions and see all those wonderful shows they have. Each of them got a map, and began walking to the first attraction which was ‘’Space Mountain’’, but there was an enormous waiting line just to enter to the ride, so they continued walking around, but they just didn’t want be standing up in those big lines, and because of that, they just entered to some rides that didn’t have long waiting lines and to some shows. Time passed and Sofi came with the idea to stay hidden somewhere at the park, and in that way it will close and they will have the entire park just for them, all of the kids agreed without thinking it twice they even said it was an excellent idea. They spend the rest of the day just walking around; they didn´t worry about entering to the rides anymore. The park was almost closing and the kids got hidden very quickly, time passed and they were just watching how the people was leaving it, and after a while they were watching how the people in charge of the maintenance of the park where cleaning it up; until there was a moment in which the park was very silent and without any movement. The kids decided to get out, and so they did, they quickly ran to a ride but they realized they couldn’t enter to it because they couldn’t control it. Very disappointed they decided to get out of the park since they couldn’t do anything they planned. In their way to the entrance they began hearing giggles, and movements around them, so they turned around and saw the Disney characters alive, the kids were at first scared, they couldn’t believe they were watching the Disney characters alive. The girls loved being with the Disney princesses, they felt they were just like them, and the boys when they were walking around they found Aladdin and Jasmine in their magic carpet, and they asked the boys if they would like to take a ride in the carpet with them, and they answered yes without thinking it twice. They weren’t just with the princesses, Aladdin and Jasmine; they also talked with Winnie Pooh, Mickey, Chip and Dale, and so many other characters. With too much excitement they forgot they should get home when the park closes, but then Angela remembered, and she told all of the kids they should go back home, they got very worried and they decided to hurry up to the entrance, when they were just about to leave of the park the Walt Disney statue and Mickey that is at the entrance of the park moved, and Walt Disney told them hello, surprised the kids told him hello too. Walt Disney asked them how he was spending a night at Magic Kingdom, they said him that everything they saw was just like magic, Walt Disney laughing told them that everything they saw was the magic part of Magic Kingdom. The kids thanked Walt him for that great night, but, when they were just about to get out of the park, he told them that no one should say anything about what they saw , because if they tell someone, the magic will disappear and that any of the characters will come to live again, the kids agreed and went out of the park. In their way to the Steve’s house of they were saying that spending part of the night at Magic Kingdom was way better that being on the rides. When they arrived home all of their parents were very worried, and they asked them what happened, and the kids, remembered what Walt Disney said, they just answered they were very hungry so they went to eat at a fast food restaurant and then they went to visit a friend that lives near too. Believe in Magic! Sofia B. Kharissova7A October 5, 2009LN 2 THE SPECIAL RAFFLE Tomorrow is the raffle of the time machine and my mother and I are very happy. She wants us to win! And what if we did? I would go on a trip to a place 35 years from now. I would see my friends and watch everything. I am so excited that I can’t wait until tomorrow. The next day I woke up very worried, thinking what would happen if I didn’t win so the best thing was not to think about it. At the raffle I couldn’t breath. My mom was very nervous and when the raffle man started to announce the winners I almost lost my memory when they said: “And the winner is …….. Sara Michelle Parker!!! I started to jump and scream and to kiss my mother. It was unbelievable that I had won. The only thing I wanted right now it was to prove the machine. When I got home, I had already read the instructions and the only thing I needed to do was to push a red button and enter in a cabin. I didn’t wait for my mother so I traveled alone to October 11, 2044. I couldn’t believe it but I was there! The super modern buildings, the air-floating cars, everything was perfect, but one thing wasn’t okay. The air was brown, and it smelled awful, there is a lot of trash in the place where I was standing up and it was very hot, compared to the temperatures of the month of October in the past. I was disappointed, I didn’t know what to do or where to go. Then one boy came to her in a special floating chair and said: “Hello, it seems that you’re new here. “Yes, I came from the year 2025. I don’t know what to do or where to go. Can you help me? “Sure, I am Erik, and you are Sarah right? Asked Erik. “How did you know?” I replied. “Because the last two years, scientists were installing chips to read minds, and I’ve got one. They are cool, but you feel like a robot” Explained Erik. “Wow! So where do we go now? We went to a place to get an air flash chair for me and as we arrived, Erik took his own chair and flew away. I was wondering why was so important to use these things and they told me that it was because of all the trash I saw contains wastes that affect our organisms like radioactive waste, nuclear waste, etc. I told them that they could just clean all the wastes or move them to another place. And they said that there’s no space in the world for any other creature than humans and that’s the reason the sky was brown. So many population animals and plants have died. Then, they arrived to a place where they process the trash. It was a huge place because they needed to choose the correct trash. Last week a worker didn’t check the trash correctly and there was a nuclear spill and he died. Then after checking the trash, they classify it. That made me realize that we don’t do that in 2009. The worst thing is that there is still some people that throw the trash carelessly. ‘Now, I understand, and the new trash that they throw there can’t be reused because it is already polluted with radioactive wastes.’ After that I had to rush because my family was waiting for me and I ran to the air-flash. When I was flying to the time machine, something cold fell on me and I heard strange voices. “Wake up, wake up! You have to go to school” said my mother. “Oh, no, it was just a dream. I almost started crying thinking about what will happen to Erik. But I know what I can do , I would conserve my world and convince everyone to do the same.
