Sub:- STAGING OF 55TH NATIONAL SHOOTING CHAMPIONSHIP COMPETITION (NSCC) IN
SHOTGUN EVENTS AT DR. KARNI SINGH SHOOTING RANGES (NEW DELHI) FROM 28th
JANUARY TO 4th FEBRUARY 2012 – SPONSORED BY SAHARA INDIA
Dear Sir/Madam,
It has been decided to hold the 55TH NSCC in Shotgun events at Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Ranges, New
Delhi from 28th January to 4th February 2012 as detailed in program attached at Appendix “A”. This will be
organized and conducted by The National Rifle Association of India and Sahara India will be the Sponsor for
this Championship.
Those competitors who want to participate in this competition are requested to go through the following
instructions carefully for their own convenience and to ensure smooth and successful conduct of the above
competitions.
1) MATCHES :-
All the matches will be conducted according to NRAI Match Book 2010. The Match Book is
available on our website www.thenrai.in.
2) ENTRY FORM/ FEE :-
a) Entry Form for INDIVIDUAL matches is sent herewith for your use. More can be sent on request. The
Entry Form duly completed along with entry Fee should be sent to this office so as to reach on or before
10th January, 2012. The entry fee should be remitted by Cash/Money Order or by Bank Draft in favor of
THE NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION OF INDIA. Kindly note that cheques will not be accepted.
Late entries, if any, will be accepted with a three times of the normal fee as per rule 6.3. of the NRAI
Match Book till 16th January 2012.

2. b) The competitors cards duly completed will be delivered at NRAIs camp office at the venue of the
competition.
3) PARTICIPATION :-
a) Participation is open to competitors to State Rifle Associations/ Units affiliated to NRAI. In case
where no State Rifle Association exists, competitors belonging to clubs directly affiliated to
NRAI will be allowed to participate. NRAI members must take part though State Rifle
Associations/ Units of their native place otherwise their entry will not be accepted. All the State
Rifle Associations/ Units will allow the members of NRAI to participate without becoming
members of that State/ Club to which he/ she belongs. However, if there is no such Association /
Club functioning in their State, they can take part as members of NRAI provided they have paid
all their dues towards NRAI.
b) Shooters qualified as per NRAI Match Book 2010 rule 17.6 are eligible to participate in this
NSCC. Shooters furnishing incorrect information shall be debarred from taking part in any
championship for two years.
c) Those who are below 21 years of age as on 31st December 2012 will be considered as Juniors
(1992 onwards) for the Championship.
d) IT IS MANDATORY FOR ALL SHOOTERS (SENIORS & JUNIORS CATEGORY) TO GET
THEM SELF REGISTER WITH NRAI AND OBTAIN SHOOTER ID CARD (IF NOT ALREADY
DONE). SHOOTERS WITHOUT SHOOTER ID CARD WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO
PARTICIPATE. AN APPLICATION FORM IS SENT HEREWITH. THE REGISTRATION
FORM IS ALSO AVAILABLE ON OUR WEBSITE www.thenrai.in THE REGISTRATION FEE
IS RS. 150/- AND REGISTRATION FORM SHOULD BE SENT THROUGH RESPECTIVE
STATE RIFLE ASSOCIATION/UNIT.
e) Only one Team from each State/Unit will be allowed in each event irrespective of the number of
participants. The names must be given in a proper entry form at the Ranges only.
f) Final Team entry (by name) under rule 18.7 of NRAI Match Book 2010 must be submitted latest
by 17:00 hrs. on the previous day of the start of the particular match.
g) All affiliated Association /Clubs/Units forwarding the Entry Forms of their members are
requested to see that their Affiliation Fee is paid up to date. Their Entry Forms will be
entertained only after their arrears if any are cleared.
h) Association /Clubs/Units forwarding the names of the Competitors having identical names must
distinguish them by indicating their father’s name making them as Senior or Junior.
i) ALL THE SHOOTERS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTACH PHOTOCOPY OF SHOOTER ID
CARD ALONG WITH THE ENTRY FORM.

3. 4) AMMUNITION
a) The Ammunition will be issued to the Team Manager only against cash payment only on valid
arm license of Association/Club/Individual or proper special permit issued by the Licensing
Authorities. In case of inadequate authorization, special permits for the required quantity be
obtained from the local licensing authorities.
b) In extra ordinary circumstances the Organizing Secretary may grant permission for use of a
common weapon. The names of the shooters likely to use common weapon should be advised
together with the weapon number to the Organizing Secretary in advance to enable him to work
out details for conduct of relevant matches.
5) RAIL TRAVEL CONCESSION :-
Rail Travel concession vouchers can be obtained from NRAI’s office.
6) ACCOMMODATION :-
Participants are requested to kindly make their own arrangements for accommodation at Delhi.
7) GENERAL
a) All participants are requested to go through the above instructions carefully and ensure
strict compliance.
b) All participants are expected to abide by the rules and regulations for the competition.
Discipline on and off the field is very essential.
c) Shooting practice in hotels is strictly prohibited.
d) Change in matches is not allowed once the entry is submitted.

4. e) In case of non-participation by the competitors after submission of their entries, the refund
of entry fee will not be allowed in any circumstances.
f) The organizers will have the right to close any match or event in case of any emergency or
otherwise without assigning any reason for such an action on their part.
g) Shooting Kit (Clothing & Equipment) of the competitors during the competitors will be
strictly according to ISSF standard for ISSF matches.
h) The shooters/officials may contact the undersigned for any further information/details that
may be required by them and might have not been covered by the above instruction at the
above address.
