BRITISH FILM AND THEATER
CINE Y SU HISTORIA
 Has been influential in the development of
both technological and commercial and artistic films and is one
of the most respected film industries in the world. Despite a
history full of successful productions, the British film industry is
characterized by an ongoing debate about their
identity including economic and cultural influences
fromAmerican and European cinema, but it is fair to say that
during the 1940 , enjoyeda brief "golden Age" with the
production of estdios J. Arthur Rank and AlexanderKorda.
The industry experienced
a boom at first development in
1910, but during the 1920
experienced a decline due to
competition and trade
practices of American
cinema. The Law of motion
pictures in
1927 introduced protective
measures that led to the
recovery and the highest
production of all time in
1936, a total of
192films. Then production
declined for several years.
CINE MUDO

was the firs tmade in the UK.
The first British
films were often
melodramatic tone
and there was a distinct
preference for arguments
that were already known
to the audience, in
particular, adaptations
of Shakespeare's
plays and
novels of Charles
Dickens.

 The theater is one of the greatest
treasures of Britain, thanks to this great writer
Shakespeare who was responsible for bringing this
    art to the top.
WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE

 It was a playwright, poet and English actor. Sometimes
known as the Bard of Avon, Shakespeare is
considered the most important writer in English
and one of the most famous in world literature.
The works
of Shakespeare have
been translated
into major languages and
 his plays continue to be
represented throughout
the world. In
addition, many dates
aphorisms of his works
have become part of
everyday use, both
in English and other
languages.
OBRAS DE SHAKESPEARE

Shakespeare wrote tragedies
from the very beginning of his
career: one of the earliest was
the Roman tragedy Titus
Andronicus, following a
few years after Romeo and
Juliet. However, the most
celebrated were written over a
period of seven
years between 1601 and
1608: Hamlet, Othello, King
Lear, Macbeth (the top
four), Antonio and Cleopatra,
along with lesser-
known Timon of Athens and
Troilus and Cressida .

    of the stage.
Mexican Cinema
At first the films were called'' views''
were exploited in many ways and
public were made insufficient
provisions and cinemas.
During the Huerta government
stepped in and censored it all that
production is not authorized by the
protagonist. Also not allowed more
productions of the revolution.
Venustiano Carranza to climb to the
presidency gave permission to the
Department of Fine Arts to acquire a
cinema and films for exhibition.
The film marks a change was'' gray'' The Auto

film was not favorable despite the help of the
Mexican Revolution and the 1st World War, there
were low quality movies.
Progress with the advent of sound changed the
landscape, among Mexico's most important
filmmakers, quoted Miguel Contreras, Gustavo
Saenz of Sicily and Gabriela Moreno.
Due to
discrimination
against Mexican
actors'' film'' The
Universal
launched a
campaign
against the
invasion of
language tapes.
Many people
opposed to
talking
movies, which
one of his first film
was'' The Singing
Fool'' premiered
on May 23, 1929.
The vitáfono comes to change the sound and the
first film was released in 1929,'' The Wolf of Wall
Street''
In 1939 President Lazaro Cardenas issued a decree
which imposed the country's cinemas obligation to
display at least a Mexican film every month.
In September 1941 created the film supervision
department in charge of authorizing the
commercial exhibition of films, as well as export.
The birth of the Golden Age is given in the mid-
thirties.
In the forties reveals trends monopolization, under
the direction of Manuel Espinosa Iglesias.
When he began to fall golden age of television
began to form in the public other entertainment
habits. In particular soap operas became the
natural choice of entertainment in Mexico.
The films faced censorship cases, but CONACULTA
in these years was the defender of these
productions.
In 1961 the production of films I do not get even
half, when production passed into the hands of the
Union of film production.
The sixties are remembered for the new musical
style imposed by the youth.During the period 1966
to 1970, serealizaron 37 tapes.
In 1968, the cinematography allows female nude
and obscene words.
In 1970 he established the rural television and radio
drive-education.
In 1974 comes CONACINE and thereafter to
present the cinematography was increasing due to
this organism.
Theather
When the first civilizations began to emerge in our
country, the theater took a little
more so, probably now was given a special
place where carried out, but equally
would have a religious purpose, far from
being simply an activity of entertainment. When
these "works" took place, mostly text was read by
two or more people, representing some other gods
and men.
There is a Maya dramatic text called
"Rabinal Achi" posed by the fight between two
warriors divine. Music was required, special
clothing and an early form of action to take place.
The theater was perhaps more important than the
others, a strong tool that they used the Spanish
to evangelize the Indians in our
country. By presenting playssimple life of Jesus
Christ, his Passion and Death. Many of
the readings found in the New Testament
were represented in varying
degrees for easy understanding.The
familiar "pastorals" today are the result
of those early times, where they usedvery
simple but adequate clothing, musical also
quite simply, singing, dancing and acting happy. A
century this practice lasted only evangelizing.
The theater in Mexico was
severely stunned by all
that Independence meant. Thewidespr
ead discontent across the
country put the ideas and
creativity elsewhere,and places to
conduct theater were not
abundant. The country fell into a
pothole of culture, but won the
prize most coveted by human beings:
freedom.
                                    When everything came to a
                                    calm breathing now at
                                    least, things returned to relative
normalcy, and the writing began to
flow. Then stood romantic authors like
                                    Fernando Calderon
and Manuel Eduardo de Gorostiza. For
these times in Mexico created the
                                    concept of "zarzuela" and
                                    many works continued under that
standard. Became one of the most
                                    popular forms of theater then.
In 1925 he formed the Union
of Dramatic Authors, which aimed to give
lectures, talks and generally promote the culture of
theater in Mexico. Diaz Manuel Barroso would
be the owner of this organism. The public works
such as "Conquer yourself Yourself" and
later, Diaz Barroso and 6 of its employees would
end upbeing called "The Group of
Seven Authors." There were other such
groups, such as "School of Theater,"
"Ulysses Theatre" and "Orientation Theater."
By 1950, the university theater became a
reality, thanks to names
like Villaurrutia, Novo, Usigli and Gorostiza. Works
like "Crown of Shadow", "Halftone" and
"gesticulating" give the necessary push at all
levels to race Dramatic Literature and
Theater was established in the Faculty of
Philosophy and Letters at the National Autonomous
University of Mexico .
Note the importance of two internationally
renowned festivals in our country wherethe theater
is cornerstone: the Festival of Mexico City, and the
Cervantes Festival Guanajuato. Currently the
theater is presented in semi-professional level for
many universities in the country, one
of the entire Institute of Technology and Higher
Studies of Monterrey (ITESM), with centers of
Cultural Campus in many different cities Mexico.
