8. Altinbesik Cave, Antalya (Close to
Burdur where we live in)
One of the most interesting caves
in the world. It is in in Taurus
Mountains in the south of Turkiye.
9. CAVE DAMLATAŞ
It is in Alanya, Antalya. The
humidity of the cave is
about 90%. The cave is
used for the treatment.
10. Karain Cave
Excavations in the region show it was
formed 50 000 years ago. The area
where the cave takes place was used
as a settlement center. It is in Antalya.
11. CAPPADOCIA (in central Anatolia, far from
Burdur)
It goes back to 60 million years. It was formed
by lava and ash came from Mount Erciyes and
took its shape by rain and wind over millions of
years. It is a place where nature and history
meet. The people of this area used fairy
chimneys as their homes, churches by carving
and decorating. Written history goes back to
the Paleolithic period of human settlement and
begins with the Hittites of Cappadocia.
Throughout history, the place carried
commercial importance and it became a
social bridge among the countries of
Cappadocia, it was also one of the important
junctions of the Silk Road.

İnsuyu Cave
Location: Burdur
The cave is located at the 13th kilometer of Burdur-Antalya
highway , 900 meters east of the road in Mandıra village. .

Properties: The total length of the cave is 597 meters and is
a horizontal and dry cave. The cave is one of the first
caves arranged for tourism as it has appropriate
connections to nearby cities.
From the formation of stalactite and stalagmites from
limestone sedimentation in various shapes and structures,
it is assumed that the cave was formed thousands of years
ago. There are 9 lakes of various sizes inside various
galleries leading to different directions.
There is a cool and clean air circulation inside the cave. It
is believed that some of the cave waters are curable to
diabetics and some stomach diseases. There is an
accommodation facility nearby the cave established by
City Private Administration.
