Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product
1. What we have learnt in
progression from our
preliminary to the full
product
Evaluating
2. When starting on our preliminary task we
came across a few problems regarding the
production, yet we used tutorials to help us
overcome these. From this I learnt that
there were tutorials for almost everything
online therefore discovering new
techniques and tips was easy once we knew
how to look. The filming and editing of the
preliminary task taught me that knowledge
of the technologies we were using was very
important to make the process as smooth
running as possible.
3. Therefore to improve on our preliminary task
made sure to look at tutorials that focused
specifically on the functions on the particular
camera we were using and on the effects we
wanted to create. Knowing how to find tutorials
helped us with our planning because it helped us
find out how to use the camera and lighting
effectively and also helped us to use the editing
programme that was available to us. The process
of planning taught me that research is key to a
good production; meaning that the research into
codes and conventions had to be informative and
had to be at the front of our minds throughout the
whole progression of the course due to the
importance that they have on confirming a piece
into a given genre.
