Production schedule
1. Production schedule
Day 1: Planning – letting everyone know what they’re doing, giving a
general layout of how the following schedule is going to take place. Time
management – stating how long each session is going to take place
Day 2: Photo shoot – the actual photos will be taken for the cover,
contents page and double page spread in this session
Day 3: Editing – not all the photos taken in the previous session will be
perfect so photo editing is an important part of the production schedule
Day 4: Designing the front cover – once the pictures have been edited,
work should be started on the front cover. This includes designing the
masthead, cover line, slogan and so on
Day 5: Designing the contents page – what is going to be in the
magazine needs to be carefully thought about so that the contents page
can be the next priority in the designing and production of the magazine
Day 6: Designing the double page spread article – the content of the
double page spread needs to have been thought about so that its
production and design can begin
Day 7: Final adjustments/refining – once the major components of the
magazine have been covered, smaller, minor aspects can be looked at
such as spell checks and quality of the pictures/text
