Synopsis

As a I.T.I. holder in trade of AOCP and Diploma in Chemicals, Having more
than 25 years of Rich Experience in Petrochemical complex as a DCS & field
Operator. Utility section and Air Separation unit is key focus area of my work
experience. Also having experience of Cryogenic facilities (LIN, LOX,
Ethylene DWS Tanks, C2C3 Spheres). Working as a field operator of
Cryogenic Storage area & distribution network of Nitrogen, Oxygen, Ethylene,
Propylene, and C2C3 liquids to the RIL, Ghandhar complex, Loading and
unloading of cryogenic Liquid Oxygen & Nitrogen.
Brief Review
¨ Currently I am working in air separation plant as DCS panel operator. Here we have
three Cryogenic air separations plants [M/s. air liquid] having 500 MT/DAY Oxygen
Production.
¨ Hands on experience of two DEMAG compressor (centrifugal), Elliot comp.
(centrifugal), Four Sulzer compressor (Reciprocating, O2 handling). And Burton
corbline compressor (Diaphragm) since commissioning.
¨ DCS Operation [Fisher Rosemount-RS3, Emmerson-Delta V system] in rotating
shifts.
¨ Experience of Dryers, Cryogenic Expansion Turbines, Cryogenic Distillation, and
handling of high pressure O2 gas bullets (50 kg/cm2) and Liquid Nitrogen storage
vessels.
¨ Maintaining safety of equipment and personnel.
¨ Responsible for observation of normal plant operation, taking plant data reading,
analyses and taking necessary action for any trouble shooting if require.
¨ Safe Start up- shut down, plant deriming and emergency handling.
¨ Shut down job planning, follow work permit system and SOP.
¨ Looking maintenance jobs and housekeeping of plant.
¨ Co-ordination with the consumer plants in the complex during normal and emergency
periods.
¨ Also having good knowledge of Utility section (Fire Water Pump House, Compressed
Air System, Cooling Tower and Raw Water Treatment Plant).
¨ Cryogenic Storage Facilities having two Double Wall Storage Tanks (DWST) of
capacity 12,000 MT of Ethylene., 2000 MT of C2C3 Spheres, 2500 MT of Propylene &
Product distribution net work to down stream plants.
¨ Good trouble shooting & analytical skills, operational planning and implementation.
¨ Good operating experience of Cryogenic Double Wall storage tanks, Ebara in tank
submerge pumps, C2C3 Spheres, Emergency Vaporizers, compressors / Multi stage
centrifugal pumps /Sun dyne pumps / Heat Exchangers having good knowledge of
operations.
¨ Having Good knowledge of activities like Hydro testing, Air drying and Dew point
checking, Nitrogen purging and Hydrocarbon charging.

¨ Control and stabilize various parameters of the plant by taking necessary actions
in order to avoid major disturbances/upsets of the plant and thus achieving the
specified quality of the product and targeted production.
¨ Trouble shooting and emergency handling, like firefighting, Power failure, Utility
failure etc.
¨ Reviews day to day operation of Cryogenic Storage facilities and distribution
network operation.
¨ Conducting field audits around the unit to observe any abnormality.
¨ Log in all process parameters in Panel and field log sheets.
¨ Co-ordination with various maintenance depts. for various jobs. (Mech./ Inst. /

¨ Optimizing the utilities & chemicals to reduce operating cost.
¨ Conducting Safety observation at work premises.

¨ Monitoring the LEL leak detection system and fire alarm system , Having operation
experience of different fire protection system like Fire water/foam monitors, Foam
tank & pumps, Hydrants, Portable fire extinguishers, LEL detectors, Smoke
detector, Deluge system with quartzite bulbs etc.
¨ Attend training programs on Different types of work permits, firefighting and safety,
P.P.E.s, LOTO, Confine space entry etc.
