This presentation contains the pictures and applications I spoke about at the iPhoneography talk at the Apple Store, Buchanan Street, Glasgow; on the 15th September, 2011.
2. Who am I?
• Thomas Mathie aka
'headphonaught'
• Business Analyst for a Bank based
in Glasgow.
• I am not a "professional" creative.
• My journey is from mobile
photography to include film & dSLR
photography too.
• I fell in love with my ability to shoot,
edit, process & upload on iPhone.
With dSLRs I need my MBP and
Lightroom (sorry Apple) to edit,
process & upload.
13. Camera+
• What Apple should include
as the default camera app.
• I really like the 'clarify' filter
- not a huge fan of HDR
but like the effect within
Camera+.
• Shoot, edit, process all
within the app.
• Upload to Flickr, Facebook
& Twitter
14. Hipstamatic
• Very hip camera app with a
wonderfully unusual faux-
analogue user interface.
• Choose lenses and film to
create vivid output with or
without flash.
• Upload and share including
ability to create physical prints
from photos
• Destructive - do not retain
original image nor can you
upload an image to app.
15. ToyCamera
• Wonderfully
serendipitous &
random camera app -
it chooses the filter
for your pic - you just
point and click.
• Destructive - do not
retain original image
nor can you upload
an image to app.
16. Camerabag
• Wonderful processing app
that allows you shoot within
or import from the photo
library.
• Has some unique filters.
• I shoot with Camera then
import. I keep original.
• Loved it so much I bought
the desktop app &
sometimes use it with my
dSLR pics.
17. BestCamera
• App allows user to
shoot, edit, process
and upload.
• Precursor to
instagram - used
more for distribution
to Flickr, twitter, etc;
albeit it has some
nice unique filters.
• "best camera is the
one you have with
you"
