Innovation and the pioneering spirit is the "why" of what we do and who we are. Not just for us at Pandaworks, but for everyone who makes the brave leap onto a new, game-changing platform.
Dealing with the risk inherent in a big change like that…even embracing it…is at the foundation of leadership. It's also at the heart of our product: Content Panda for SharePoint.
In this webinar, we'll show how we help businesses innovate and bring their own pioneering spirit into their SharePoint environments--with the full knowledge that the net will, indeed, appear. We'll demonstrate how Content Panda for SharePoint mitigates risk, reinforces change management and--most importantly--leads to successful, confident adoption. We understand SharePoint users need to feel safe before they feel empowered, and we've built tools that give them that confidence and independence right from the beginning. Tools you can use to provide guidance and support, and they can use to help themselves.

Innovation and the pioneering spirit is the "why" of what we do and who we are. Not just for us at Pandaworks, but for everyone who makes the brave leap onto a new, game-changing platform. And anyone who lives and breaths technology. Dealing with the risk inherent in a big change like that…even embracing it…is at the foundation of leadership. It's also at the heart of our product.
At Content Panda we make software for innovators. It's flexible and easy to build on, and gives people the tools and freedom to try new ideas. Doing something new can seem scary at first, and it’s often messy. But sometimes the only way to break through is to dive in head first. We are asking you to take a leap of faith with us into a new contextual world of help, training and support
We also believe that sometimes you need to take a chance doing things differently for a grand result. But, we also believe in having a plan – end user adoption for example is a great way to introduce new software into your company with a “net”. So many companies toss software at their employees and expect them to just know. Why not build your net with adoption plans. Clear rules for change management and governance policies. You build and create the net as the IT admins of your company. The net isn’t magical, its practical if you have a net you can also bounce off ot it to embrace something else that happens in the way. Help has always been something that is seemingly talked about but not really truly given. The expectation these days is that you just figure it out or hunt endlessly for the answers. We believe that there is a different way. To truly adopt software you must create a plan, execute it and give your end users net of empowerment. Here are some stats
This quote comes from a Industry Watch paper that was put out by AIIM International (where I am also a board member) This paper was called Connecting and Optimizing SharePoint important strategy choices. So in their research over half of all companies that are bringing SharePoint to its employees are letting them fly without a net. You can be different. If not you become part of this next statistic.
2.5 hours are the wasted time your employees take on searching for info.
70% I don’t remember rate. This is not just about forgetting for an IT Admin, trainer, HR person – this is the negative ROI slide. What happens to the trainer, HR person, IT admin that spends a million dollars on training classes, whether you bring them in to train or you send folks out to training when nobody remembers how to do anything. They don’t last long in the organization. Or if you do you end up learning the following about your end users. They…
Traditionally help and training content is something you find or take. The question mark up in SharePoint is the out of the box solution – like most software, most people don’t find it very helpful. This leads you to go hunt for solutions out on a search engine which takes time or You Tube which is loaded with distractions. Training that you attend or bring into your company is terrific and we highly recommend training partners like Combined Knowledge. When end users just like all of us can’t remember how to do something or find the answers. We feel terrible, because you know what the truth of the matter is, no one likes asking for help, no one likes sending that email to their IT Admin, AGAIN saying hey, sorry to interrupt but How Do I….? We at Content Panda call that the mystery question. I’m going to have Simeon show you how Content Panda delivers award winning training and help content inside the SharePoint user interface simplifying the training and support experience for end users and IT.
Here is where I get to show you our product for Office 365 and SharePoint on-prem. We think that this is a wonderful addition to your SharePoint environment that will support and expand upon the training investments you make and will give the answers to all the “how do I questions” that come to your IT department via email and tickets.
This is what someone looks like after using Content Panda. The concept of just in time, just for you help is what we like end users to understand and embrace. Heather is going to talk through a few use cases where customers have seen success with Content Panda
Davisville Foods' managing director was looking for ways to improve efficiency within the business' various departments. Discussing technical options with his CTO, it seemed natural to focus on SharePoint, since so much of their staff's time was spent in that particular user interface. They decided to implement an application that could provide guidance and tips within SharePoint itself, whenever users wanted a bit of help getting work done. They would reach the most amount of people, for the biggest efficiency gains. They began with the marketing department. Which is near and dear to my heart.
Now, when a member of the marketing team visits the document library where new brochures are published, they can click an icon to see a video on document conversion, a list of graphic design resources to call on, and a chart showing the approval process they need to follow before publication. The same kind of guidance was added to other areas of the marketing team site as well, so that whatever they were doing, there was help available.
It was a big hit with the users, because they could get the answers they needed without hunting around, and they didn't have to ask anyone else. The head of the marketing department told the managing director that since they implemented the software, more was getting done in less time--and his staff were less frustrated.
The CTO and his IT manager implemented an ongoing program to provide the same kind of in-context, on-demand guidance across all the departments. Now, every couple of months, the IT manager has a short chat with each department head about their business processes and the information they want to share with their teams. Then the help and guidance content being offered in the departments' team sites is updated so the most valuable, efficiency-boosting knowledge is always available to users.
Productivity is up across the board and, according to the IT helpdesk, frustration is down. The same guidance on day-to-day tasks has also provided the means for promoting governance and corporate policies, so overall risk has been reduced and quality of information across the enterprise is on the rise.
Archangel Finance wasn't getting enough value from the money they were spending on training. A recent survey by the HR department showed most of their employees felt some of the IT systems were confusing. Some staff even mentioned the SharePoint training they'd had already was good, but not specific enough to answer their questions. The IT manager suspected most of what they learned had been forgotten.
The HR and IT managers agreed that SharePoint was still the best place to focus their training efforts. The company employees lived there every day: if training were successful, the positive impact to productivity and job satisfaction would be very broad.
The IT manager heard about a SharePoint help and training application that made different kinds of support content available to users, right inside the user interface. All the information was on demand: the users just clicked what they needed help with, whenever they wanted. They could choose from a wide variety of content: everything from quick tips to detailed online training programs, fully built out of the box. When he started evaluating the product, the IT manager realized he could add his company's own content to it, as well. Employees would be able to access the material from the original SharePoint training they had already received… and perhaps forgotten.
Since the new help system was implemented, things at Archangel Finance have changed. Users now have the answers they need, when and where they actually need them. The support desk gets a lot fewer "how do I do this in SharePoint" questions, which is freeing them up for more cost-effective tasks. The company's training cycle has also been streamlined, since so much of it is now based on a self-help model. As a result, the on-boarding process for new employees is shorter and more effective, with staff becoming productive and confident in record time. Best of all, SharePoint adoption and engagement is higher than it's ever been.
After seeing the results from the latest HR survey, the president of the company called the two managers into her office to congratulate them personally on the investment they made.
There is one more statistic that we’d like to show.
Zero. That is the number of people who complain about finding help where and when they need it. That my friends is what In-context and contextual means and that is what Content Panda does.
