 In less than two months all eyes will be upon
 London, as athletes from all over the world will
gather to participate in the XXX Olympic Games.
    To celebrate this event, we designed this
     Webquest, and we invite you to browse
         information about the Olympics.

You are a group of journalists
from a newspaper to find out
information about the
Olympic Games.

PROCESS
Activity 1
Work in groups of three and answer the following
 questions:
What is the origin of the Olympic Games?
What is the motto of the Olympics?
Which are the Olympic values?
Why were the Olympic Games banned in the year
 1916, 1940 and 1944?

         Now, you’re ready for your next task.

a. Choose one of the Olympic symbols and
one of the Olympic sports and describe them.

b. Explain what the Paralympic games are.

c. Find out some interesting facts about these
  games.

Activity 3
 Look for images, facts, particular features and any
extra information you may find interesting to share.

 Organise these details into a powerpoint
presentation. Create a slideshow as attractive as
possible about the items you have chosen.
