Narrator: Once upon a time, far, far away, in a kingdom near the mountains,
there was an enormous dragon who was always very hungry. He was eating all
the time, but he was always saying:
Dragon: - I’m hungry! I’m very hungry!
Narrator: Every day he ate a cow, a horse and even some sheep, until he
finished all the animals in the kingdom.
Dragon: - I’m hungry! I’m very hungry!
Narrator: Then the king gathered his people and told them that the only thing
they could do, was to give the dragon someone to eat. So every day, they
would draw out a name to see who would be eaten by the dragon.
Narrator: The king made the draw, but he was very unlucky because his
daughter, the princess, was chosen.
King: - Poor princess! How unlucky has she been!
Narrator: - But the princess had to go to the woods to be eaten by the dragon.
The princess was very scared and said:
Princess: - I’m scared! I’m scared! I'm afraid of the dragon!
Narrator: The dragon left his cave and said:
Dragon: - I'm hungry! I'm very hungry!
Narrator: And when the dragon was about to eat the princess, Saint George
arrived, riding his white horse. He said:
St. George: - Bad Dragon! You’re not going to eat the princess!
Narrator: But as the dragon was very hungry, he opened his mouth, breathed
fire, and said again:
Dragon: - I'm hungry! I'm very hungry!
2. Narrator: Saint George, at the same time that the dragon was about to eat the
princess, stabbed the spear in the belly of the dragon, and ... poof! Saint
George killed the dragon.
Narrator: The dragon was dead and the princess, who had been saved, said to
Saint George:
Princess: - Thank you! You are very brave!
Narrator: And everyone was shouting:
People: - Long live Saint George! Long live Saint George!
Narrator: From the dragon's blood came a beautiful red rose. Saint George
picked up the rose as a gift to the princess and said:
St. George: - You’re as pretty as this rose.
Narrator: After that, Saint George left the town riding on his white horse, and
while he was leaving everyone said:
People: - Long live Saint George! Long live Saint George!
