Kinds of lines
1. Kinds of lines
A vertical line is a kind of line that is drawn in upright
position. It goes from North to South or vice versa.
A kind of line that lies flat on a surface is a horizontal line.
It goes from East to West and vice versa.
A diagonal is also called as slanted line. This kind of line
has inclined position.
2. Intersecting lines are a pair of
lines that meet at a common
point. The common is called
the point of intersection.
3. Parallel lines are a pair of
lines that go to the same
direction. They are
equidistant and never
intersect.
4. A pair of intersecting lines (vertical
and horizontal)that form four right
angles at their point of intersection
is called perpendicular lines.
