Ladies,

I have found a method that is saving us a lot of money on food. I thought I would share this information with
you - I am happy to meet with you or have a little informal class on how to do this one afternoon if you like.

My sister and I have used Couponmom.com for several years. However, she found a additional site that has
been a huge help. Here is the method she shared with me and I use now!

Open a new tab - windows and Go to Couponmom
http://www.couponmom.com/ (register & login)
Choose Grocery Deals by State
Click down arrow - select store where you shop: (ex: Georgia - Kroger)
Click Go
A window pops up with a list of this weeks specials. Scroll through and find those items that you use and that
you can use a coupon.
Example: This week Kroger has Pillsbury Crescent Rolls on sale for $1.67. You see the item on the list on
CouponMom:
09-07 Pillsbury Crescent Rolls 8-14oz--Reward Promo
                                                        $0.50 1 $1.67 $1.17 49%
GM Item

Go to The Coupon Clippers:

http://www.thecouponclippers.com/ (register & login)
Enter Pillsbury in search box - list comes up and shows that they do offer a .35 coupon and can be purchased
for .05 each.

Pillsbury CRESCENT dinner rolls on any
      Qty Available: 1183 (Min. Order Qty: 5) $0.35 11/29/08 $0.05

Check the box on the list from couponmom - enter the number you want to purchase on couponclippers - a .35
coupon costs .5 cents. The store will double the coupon giving you .70 cents off per package. You can buy 10
coupons for 50 cents. You can purchase Crescent Rolls for $1.67 - .70 (double coupon) = .97 each

BOGO - Buy One Get One - be sure to get 2 coupons - U can use for both items. Ex: Vitamins cost 3.99 -
BOGO - you get 2 bottles for 3.99 - you use 2-1.00 coupons - you get 2 bottles of vitamins for 1.99!

I go through the sale lists on at least 1 Sunday a month (via Couponmom or Couponclippers - look under Store
Sales) or pull up the store sale circular from their website (to include Walgreens, CVS, etc). Make sure to check
off each item on the Couponmom list - and select Display Selected Deals - it will give you a list of those items
you plan to purchase for each store (I highlight the ones I purchased coupons for). Keep the lists - order the
coupons - if you order on Sunday and choose normal delivery they will usually arrive by Thursday. Remember
Publix ads change middle of the week so you have to make sure you look at the list the day the new sale starts
and order your coupons (I think it is Thursday).

So how much did I save?

I spent $10.34 on coupons and shipping from Couponclippers
Kroger - I purchased 198.00 worth of groceries buying sale items with coupons/Kroger brand and with Kroger
plus card and coupons - I paid 103.22
Walmart - harder to track (they don't do the breakdown like Kroger) - I spent about 90.00. Included in my
great buys:

I purchased Soft Soap with coupons this month for .43 a bottle!
I also purchased Joy dish soap for .23 a bottle!
Knorr-Swiss Rice side dishes - I bought for .19 each! (I think I bought 20 of them)

I loaded up my pantry - filled a entire shelf with staples - and spent right at 200.00 all together.
Best guess - I got around 325.00 to 350.00 worth of groceries. The key here - buy in quantity those
things you use in bulk to last you 6 months. Over the course of a couple of months - you will have a good
supply of food and staples that you can pull from (to include diapers and baby supplies) - or give to those in
need!

I try to shop for meats on sale - I also have been going to West Metro Produce and Meat at 3511 Atlanta
Highway (down from the BOE) - they have Black Angus meat (good prices) and the meat tastes good. They
also have good fresh fruits and vegs there, as well as good frozen vegetables (looks like what would be used for
commercial accounts). They are nice folks there - give them a try.

Feel free to forward this to anyone that you think might be interested!

Have a Great Day,
Helen
