optional Mountain-running Clinic --1.
Day 4. MuiNe - DiLinh - DaLat.[B/L/D]
4 stages, 2 KOM and a few cultural coffee stops! We head inland by vehicle transfer over a
gravel forestry road. The mountains begin! On our bikes for 60km and 800m altitude gain to
GiaBac and on to DiLinh (+1,000m). This is a beautiful narrow piece of tarmac through the
tropical forest to the highland. It's possible we might get some rain here through the forest.
Then, cruising through coffee plantations, it's a compulsory cultural stop to sample their
wares, fuelling us over a couple more passes to Dalat for the overnight.
Day 5. DaLat - Lak.[B/L/D]
150km, 4 stages and 2 KOM. Today is the day of reckoning... 6 mountain passes! However,

well ready for it. Beating the sparrows to their song, we'll be seeing the sunrise from our
saddles with a 5am start. Passing PhuongHoang airbase, we gently climb beside the Dak Po
Ko River. We break the 190km into manageable segments with restful recovery stops.
Finally crossing over the Truong Son Mountain range we have a wicked descent into
PhuocSon.
Day 8. PhuocSon - ThanhMy - DaiLoc - VinhDien - Hoian.[B/L/D]
140km, 2 stages. Emerging from the mountains, we lose altitude cruising down to the

the Coast again.
Day 9. HoiAn.[B/L]
Hoian. Rickshaw Criterium, Gurney's Mountain-running Clinic, and free day. Sleep-in or rise
