Who would expect to be watching your trailer? What is their
                     demographic?

•   Watching our trailer we would expect that the the audience would be a wide
    range. Anyone from eighteen to around in your 40’s, or anyone over that who
    enjoys watching horror films. Primarily, the audience we would want would be late
    teens, early twenties because in horror films typically the main characters are
    young. This will entice a young audience because they can relate more. We would
    want our audience watching the trailer to be wide so a lot of people got to watch
    the trailer, then with word spreading as well, the trailer would be successful in
    drawing people in, making them want to watch the film.
•   The audience for our specific horror trailer would be again, late teens early
    twenties which will connect with the actual characters in the trailer, them being
    around that ages also, or slightly younger. In the trailer we want the environment
    to be very familiar to the audience, so they can relate, and also bringing the scare
    factor up, the more familiar, the more scary. The trailer will be modern
    day, including technologies of the day, mobile phones, music players etc. the more
    the demographics in the trailer match that of the audience, the more the audience
    can relate, making it scarier knowing the same things can happen to them.
How will we create our trailer to reach this audience?
                 Where might they watch it?

•   We will create our trailer to connect with the audience by a few means. First of all we will
    either star in the trailer ourselves as main characters or get some people we know, around
    the same age, late teens to star in the trailer, because our target audience is late teen- early
    twenties. Having people around the same age can help the audience to relate. Also, we will
    include technology of today, for example cars from this era, (when the characters are
    travelling to a new environment) modernizing the trailer. Mobile phones will also be
    used, maybe phoning for help. The way the trailer will be filmed will reach out to the
    audience, because jerky, handheld camera movements will be used, which is stereotypical of
    the horror genre, instantly alerting the audience that the film is horror based.
•   The audience might watch the film on TV, in between programs, the trailer might appear, and
    then someone might look up the film on the internet to try and find out more. Another place
    that general trailers might be viewed is at the cinema, if they have gone to see another film
    of that genre, the trailer could come on at the start, and on the big screen the trailer is more
    exciting. However, for our specific trailer, it will be viewed on youtube, where the audience
    can watch and give feedback, this might include questions about the trailer and them
    wanting to know more. Youtube is a good site for watching trailers because you can compare
    them to other ones.
