author.
Burke is best known for role as
Suzanne Sugarbaker in the CBS
comedy series Designing Women
(1986–1991), for which she was
nominated for two Emmy Awards for

Miss Illinois 1989
American actress best known for her
roles as the liberated ("deassimilated") Borg, Seven of Nine, on

25. Anita Bryant
Miss Oklahoma 1958
She scored four Top 40 hits in the
United States in the late 1950s and
early 1960s, including "Paper Roses,"
which reached #5. She later became
known for her strong opposition to
homosexuality and for her
campaigning in 1977 to repeal a local
ordinance in Dade County, Florida,
that prohibited discrimination on the
basis of sexual orientation, an
involvement that significantly

The widow of Philippine President Ferdinand
Marcos and forms half of their so-called
conjugal dictatorship. She is remembered as
a symbol of the extravagance due to her
collection of more than a thousand pairs of
shoes.
Imelda held positions in government that
allowed her to travel the world and
accumulate artwork and property. The couple
consolidated their power allowing them to
transport funds from the Philippine treasury
into offshore accounts, such as those in
banks in Switzerland. Her husband and their
family was forced out of office as a result of
the People Power Revolution but was later
given amnesty after her husband's death.
After an exile in Hawaii, she was elected in
the House of Representatives in 1996 for
Leyte and again in 2010 for Ilocos Norte.
Despite facing numerous cases involving
alleged corruption, she has yet to be
imprisoned and she continues to wield
power. She remains one of the most

American actress of stage, film and
television. She has won eight Primetime

She co-starred in the 1971 film The Last
Picture Show for which she won the Academy
Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Leachman's longest running role was the
nosy, self-centered and manipulative
landlady Phyllis Lindstrom on the 1970s TV
series Mary Tyler Moore, and later on the
spinoff series, Phyllis. She also appeared in

Frankenstein. She had a regular role on the
last two seasons of The Facts of Life
