Ondi-Ondi Desiccated Coconut Treat

2. From our series of recipes using desiccated coconut
products in the Philippines, here comes another treat
– Ondi-Ondi.
Have a bite of our purple yam with the special twist
of coconut!
You and your family will surely love this!
3. 400 Glutinous Rice Flour
400 grams of grated purple yam
1 Cup of Water
½ Cup of Palm/White Sugar
Baking Liner
1 Cup of Desiccated Coconut
½ Teaspoon of salt
4. In order to make our special rice ball, we have
to mix the flour and purple yam with water.
Flatten the dough and add sugar at the center.
We just have to roll the dough and form small b
alls.
5. Prepare a bowl with boiling water, place the
balls and wait till it became cooked. When the
balls float on the surface, scoop them with a
skimmer and drain.
6. After draining, Roll the balls to the
desiccated coconut and serve with
love!
You can add extra sugar as sprinkle.
