Here’s what happens when you try to mount the camera on a tripod. The user moves about too much.
It’s like being on a fairground ride.
I tried attaching the camera to a baseball cap. But the user’s head moves independently of their hands.

Using my cunning device based on Toblerone packaging, you get a rock steady picture.
Make a shape like this out of cardboard. The lid of an A3 paper box is ideal. Cut out a shape like this. Score the cardboard along the yellow lines. The T-shaped hole is where the camera will be mounted. Cut a hole suitable for your own camera.
Fold along the score lines.
Roll up into a Toblerone shape and secure with rubber bands or tape.
Reinforce the back plate with more cardboard. A couple of thicknesses might be necessary.
