This is a collection of photos of waterfront developments in medium-sized cities located in the southern United States. It was prepared for the City of Daytona Beach Redevelopment Department as a visioning tool for possible improvements to their own waterfront.

2. Methodology
How were these cities chosen?
U.S. Census data provided a list of metro areas having a
population approximately 150,000 greater or less than the
population of the Daytona Metropolitan Statistical Area which
was 443,343 in 2008 (population range of 293,000 to 589,959)
Cities lacking waterfronts were culled from the list.
Jacksonville and Cocoa were added.
How are they organized in this show?
By geographic region: Atlantic Coast, Gulf Coast, and inland
rivers or lakefronts.
