liter
 Gram are used to measure mass (≠weight)
 Liter are used to measure volume
 There are no technical relationship between
gram and liter
 The only relationship to find the connection
between gram and liter is by finding the
density of a material
 Density is derived by finding the mass of
material per volume ρ=M/V

1 mL = 1 cm3
1000 milliliter = 1 liter
 So useful facts about grams:
1 g = 1000 kilograms

4. Advantages of the metric units
of measurement

situation
iii. Starting from 1970s, most countries have
converted to metric system as their national
system. Important to the world to come out
with a global standard of measurement.
iv. Metric system are created by scientist as
they satisfy the new formulae and scientific
theories
