                 By

             Ian G.Morris
Goals and Objective
 Goal: Students will learn about implementing technology to
  enhance language learning.

 Objective: Given a presentation about language software,
student will understand which applications and software are
available to enhance language learning by answering
  questions.
Introduction:
 Does anyone here want to try to learn a new language?

 Which language would it be?

 What are some traditional ways of learning?

 Can anyone guess some ways learning a language has changed
  in the digital age?
Some Positive Attributes of Learning a
Language

 Leaves students with more flexibility in thinking, greater
sensitivity to language, and a better way for listening.
 Improves understanding of native tongue.

National Standards for Language

  communication, cultures, connections, comparisons, and
communities. --Technology can provide avenues to bridge
  many of these requisites.
Technology and Language
              Development
 Access to a variety of technologies, ranging from computer
assisted instruction to interactive video, cd-rom, the
internet, electronic mail, and the world-wide web will
  enhance language acquisition.
 Technology offers vast possibilities for language development
and connections to the cultures of the world where the target
  language is spoken.
 Students can engage in conversations, provide/obtain
information, express feelings and emotions and exchange
  opinions.
