Ashish Sonal is the founder of Orkash. He has pioneered the concept of integra4ng the fields of business , market ,

support plaKorms. Ashish has extensively advised the senior management of many Fortune 500 Companies in emerging
markets covering their strategic business intelligence and risk management requirements. His consul4ng experience ranges

various governmental and non‐governmental organiza4ons.
Prior to launching Orkash, Ashish was the country head of Hill & Associates India, Asia’s leading risk management
consultancy, for a period of over five years becoming the largest business of its kind in all of Asia. Ashish personally leads
‘Orkash Labs’, the R&D wing of Orkash. He is currently involved with a number of R&D ini4a4ves to develop enterprise level
decision‐support systems for opera4onal risk management, compe44ve intelligence, and compliance management needs
in global corporates.
Ashish’s exper4se and interests encompass scenario gaming, AI and expert systems, game theory, geopoli4cs, terrorism,
inves4ga4ve data discovery technologies and cyber forensics. Ashish has also been a frequent speaker in various
interna4onal forums.
Ashish is a graduate from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, the Na4onal Defense Academy and the US army Ranger
School. Ashish spent thirteen years with the Special Forces prior to joining the corporate world in 1999. He has also served
with the United Na4ons for various interna4onal assignments.
Ashish is the recipient of the Indian war4me gallantry award, the Vir Chakra. He is a published author and was awarded the
Times Fellowship for his field research work covering the human behavioural trends in terrorism and insurgency, later
published as a book.
