In view of the recent amendment made in the Patents Act, 1970 by the Patents (Amendment) Act, 2005
effective from 01st January 2005, the Official Journal of The Patent Office is required to be published under
the Statute. This Journal is being published on weekly basis on every Friday covering the various proceedings
on Patents as required according to the provision of Section 145 of the Patents Act 1970. All the enquiries on
this Official Journal and other information as required by the public should be addressed to the Controller
General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks. Suggestions and comments are requested from all quarters so that

Notice is also given that if any interested person requests for copies of the complete specification, drawing and

and Rules there under, Publication of the matter relating to Patents in the Official Gazette of India Part III,
Section 2 has been discontinued and instead The Official Journal of the Patent Office is being published
containing all the activities of The Patent Office such as publication of all the patent applications after 18th
months , grant of patents & all other information in respect of the proceedings as required under the provisions
of the Patents (Amendment) Act, 2005 and Rules thereunder on weekly basis on every Friday.
The Journal is uploaded in the website every Friday. So Paper form and CD-ROM form of the Journal are
discontinued from 01/01/2009.

The present invention provides a process for production of alcohol by fermentation of blackened hybrid sorghum lends more
particularly blackened sorghum which has poor culinary values. Moreover this agricultural surplus biomass has never been utilized to
its maximum potential on commercial level. This starchy material can be hydrolyzed into fermentable sugars by two-step enzyme
reaction employing thermostable amylases and amyloglucosidases and the resultant glucose can be used as a fermentation medium for
ethanol production. The present invention also provides optimization of different fermentation parameters can be done by batch
fermentation process employing yeasts as test organisms. Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Saccharomyces carlsbergenesis cab be used
individually or in consortium for maximum ethanol production. The present invention also provides method for immobilization for
higher production of alcohol; the immobilization is helpful as it is emerging as one of the techniques that have played an important
role in the field of starch based industries. Immobilized cell study could help in economic reuse of the cells in a particular growth
phase and reduction of process and product contamination.

The invention relates to the antifungal activity of composition of Shorea robusta and Azadirchata indica. The antifungal activity of
compound isolated from Shorea robusta and oil from the seeds of Azadirchata indica were evaluated and their composition as a cream
in concentration 0.5-1% and 3-10 %, respectively. The composition shows potent antifungal activity.

the adjustable screw for adjusting downward force exerted by the spring on said outlet sealing poppet through the first stem. At the
bottom end of the first stem an outlet sealing disc is fixed coaxial with the first stem. Below said outlet sealing disc a float ball
provided in ball guide enabling support to float ball and guiding float ball on its vertical axis. Plurality of vertical extensions provided
on ball guide is fixed to said poppet body; a gap provided between the top of the ball and bottom surface of the outlet sealing disc

Solid State Fermentation involves fermentation of moist substrate without presence of free water. Reactors employed for conducting
SSF operation are different from conventional submerged fermentation where maintaining homogeneity, regulation of temp, control of
variable parameters like pH are easier to sustain as the liquid media inside the bioreactor is continuous phase. Because of non-
homogeneity of the substrate medium packed inside the reactor, the issues concerning scale up are for more severe and difficult to
model as compared to convention as submerged fermentation. As a result the scale up is executed on the basis of increasing number of
precisely configured systems e.g. Tray reactors consisting of numerous well regulated trays. Such kind of an assembly is however
cumbersome to operate and requires a lot of labor especially for large operations like manufacture of organic chemicals and
antibiotics. The attempt of the inventors has been to design a bioreactor for conducting large scale SSF operations which are easily
scaled on the basis of the experimental results available from primary lab scale trials without attempting to run pilot scale plant
evaluations. The Bioreactor accomplishes this by employing a radial flow of air and homogenizing the substrate by a set of hybrid
Agitator system which rotates in planetary motion inside the Reactor vessel.

region. Refrigerant flow inside the condenser through the inlet connector orifice to the condensation region via passage at one end and

The described devices and methods relate to a novel Follicular Unit Separation Extraction (FUSE) technology. The method comprises
of selecting and extracting individual follicular units (FU) under direct visual control for hair grafting into bald/balding areas of the
skin. The method includes a dissection process wherein punch technique is used to insert punch partially upto a defined dermis level
and the rest of the process of dissection and extraction is performed by one or more needles that precisely separate hair follicles from
its dermal attachments. The method may use a direct magnified vision, at the time of using the needles until the graft gets completely
extracted. Further, the method may also use other processes such as titration, and in vivo follicular separation process for dissection.

When the permanent magnets 6, 7 embedded in the conveyor 3 pass by the vicinities of the magnetometers 8, the plural
magnetometers 8 detect magnetic fields of the magnets, and signals thus detected are collected by the data collecting device 9. The
controller 10 makes comparison of the intensities of the magnetic fields detected by the magnetometers 8 and calculates a twist angle
of the conveyor belt 3 on the basis of the position of the magnetometer 8 which has detected the strongest magnetic field. The
controller 10 then, according to the twist angle, outputs a warning signal to the warning device 11 and/or a control signal to the
circular-shape retaining roller driving device 12 provided in the roller support device 19 for the circular-shape retaining roller to
correct the twist of the conveyor belt, and further outputs a control signal to the rounding roller driving device 13 provided in the roller
support device 21 for the rounding roller to correct the twist of the conveyor belt.
