INTRODUCTION

In view of the recent amendment made in the Patents Act, 1970 by the Patents (Amendment) Act, 2005
effective from 01st January 2005, the Official Journal of The Patent Office is required to be published under
the Statute. This Journal is being published on weekly basis on every Friday covering the various proceedings
on Patents as required according to the provision of Section 145 of the Patents Act 1970. All the enquiries on
this Official Journal and other information as required by the public should be addressed to the Controller
General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks. Suggestions and comments are requested from all quarters so that
the content can be enriched.

Notice is hereby given that any person at any time before the grant of Patent may give representation by way of
opposition to the Controller of Patents at appropriate office on the ground and in a manner specified under
section 25(1) of the Patents (Amendment) Act, 2005 read with Rule 55 of the Patents (Amendment) Rules,
2006.
Notice is also given that if any interested person requests for copies of the complete specification, drawing and
abstract of any application already published, the photocopy of the same can be supplied by the Patent Office as
per the jurisdiction on payment of prescribed fees of Rs.4/- per page. If any further details are required to be

        Under the new provision of the Patents Act, 1970 as amended by the Patents (Amendment) Act, 2005
and Rules there under, Publication of the matter relating to Patents in the Official Gazette of India Part III,
Section 2 has been discontinued and instead The Official Journal of the Patent Office is being published
containing all the activities of The Patent Office such as publication of all the patent applications after 18th
months , grant of patents & all other information in respect of the proceedings as required under the provisions
of the Patents (Amendment) Act, 2005 and Rules thereunder on weekly basis on every Friday.


The Journal is uploaded in the website every Friday. So Paper form and CD-ROM form of the Journal are
discontinued from 01/01/2009.

Every effort is being taken to publish all the patent applications under section 11(A) of the Patents Act.

However, if duplication of publication of any application is found, then earlier date of publication will be taken

for the purpose of provisional protection for applicant and Patent Office will grant Patent not before six months

The smart dynamic radiation pattern optimising system is a design and technique to actively shape & optimise the radiation pattern of
mobile device controlled by smart RF/Antenna system with signal processing algorithm that works by sensing the change in device
proximity environment with nature or property, range, orientation, position, location, signal quality parameters and ambient
intelligence to protect the user by controlling radiation exposure, enhance RF signal quality and to save battery power. Mobile devices
are handled in different proximity environment which influence the antenna performance due to electromagnetic interaction based on
environments properties that leads to detuning, radiation pattern distortion, impedance mismatch etc which in turn degrades the signal
quality. Also change in device orientation according to usage leads to power loss due to polarization mismatch. So when the signal
quality degrades the system will sense & compute in an adaptive closed loop manner to actively optimise the radiation pattern
according to scenarios. The design consist of (a) a sensor system 220 to determine the change in proximity environment [close
vicinity] with sensing its property, sensing multi - direction, dimension, layer, position & range of proximity environment with respect
to device, sensing device (antenna) orientation, visual sensing, infrared or thermal vision, user recognition, user head & hand hold
effect, location, usage scenarios & operating modes and accordingly generate the trigger signal 230; (b) a processing unit 150 for
computing the interrupt control signal 140 according to the nature of trigger signal & existing signal quality parameters; (c) Smart
active radiation pattern optimiser 120 that works based on control signal; (d) Antenna system 110 capable of achieving dynamic
radiation pattern coupled with radiation pattern optimiser that actively shapes and controls the radiation pattern accordingly to protect
the user and also restores radiation according to scenarios to optimise communication. Other aspects of the present invention are the
same sensor system 220 is utilised to develop an application that guides the user locate & position the mobile device in living space to
achieve optimised performance, protect the mobile device from theft and ambient intelligence to alert & interact with the user.

(57) Abstract :
Reinforced coating for covered stents The present invention relates to a method for minimizing the de-lamination of the covering from
the wire struts of a medical device, such as stent. The delamination can be minimized by providing a suitable reinforcement to the
coating for additionally holding to the metal body or woven wire mesh. The reinforcement can be provided in the form of peripheral
thread weaved in to the struts on the periphery of the stent or as required with two ends of the thread joined together by way of
knitting/ sealing / welding techniques. The material used for the reinforcement is a thin suitable thread made out of soft, flexible
medical grade plastic or any other material considered fit for the implantation.

A luminaire using LEDs emits illumination light with improved uniformity and allows selection of color temperature and a region
from which light is emitted. The illumination light from the LED travels in a light guide plate and is reflected off the inner surface to
output to the outside through a diffuser plate. A plurality of LEDs differing in hue is provided. An LED driver unit controls a color
temperature of light to be emitted, and generates, for example, illumination light of moderate color such as an orange color. The LED
driver unit switches between regions from which light is emitted, thus offering unique illumination effects and using the luminaire as
an all-night lamp. The light guide plate is secured to the side opposite to the reflector sheet in order to prevent the fixing member from
impairing the light uniformity.

Embodiments of the invention provide the ability to use policy defined by the operator to control the interfaces on which data is sent
and received by a device. The policy can be dynamically updated by the operator, by pushing to the device for implementation. The
policy can define that the device should switch certain data between two or more available interfaces at certain times, or when certain
data may be sent or received over a particular interface. Advantageously, the device may receive new policy to help with the
operator™s own operational objectives. e.g. the operator may be engaging in traffic shaping or traffic limitation, e.g. to ease
congestion or enforce service agreements. To support this a policy which implements corresponding traffic limitation or shaping on-
the-air-interface between the mobile device and network base stations can be sent to the mobile device. This will reducie signaling
congestion on the air-interface.

Method for closed-loop control of a DC-DC voltage converter operating in zero-voltage switching mode (ZVS) with a switching
threshold (Z), the converter comprising: - a plurality of interlaced cells, each cell comprising at least two controlled switches (K1, K2),
configured to be alternately closed and open, and an inductor (L) in which an output current (Is) from the cell flows, and - the
converter furthermore comprising a clock (6) with a given switching period (Td) configured for triggering the switching of the
switches (Kl, K2) between upper (+M) and lower (-M) control thresholds, the control threshold (+M, -M) with the value nearest to the
switching threshold (Z) being denoted associated control threshold, in which method: - for each cell (A1, A2), an overrun period (T1,
T2) is measured, this being the time between the moment when the output current intensity (Is) from the cell is equal to the associated
control threshold and the moment when the output current intensity (Is) from the cell is equal to the switching threshold (Z); - a
correction time (Tc) is determined corresponding to the minimum overrun period measured for the plurality of cells during an
interlacing cycle (CY1, CY2), an interlacing cycle corresponding to the time during which an overrun period (Tl, T2) is measured for
the plurality of cells(A1,A2); - an optimized switching period (Td) of the clock (6) is calculated by subtracting from the determined
switching period (Td) an anticipation time (Ta) which is a function of the correction time (Tc); and - the optimized switching period
(Td) is applied to the clock (6) in such a maimer as to provide closed-loop control of the interlacing of the currents output from the
