1. The Holy Mass is not boring.

children speaking in a language
you don’t know?

3. Why do they laugh? What’s so
funny about their story? Why is
the story they’re telling me not
amusing for me?

mean a thing to us.
That’s why there are people who
say, “ The Mass doesn’t mean a
thing to me.”

5. What is the
Holy Mass?
It is the sacrifice
of the Body and
Blood of Jesus
Christ.

6. Jesus Christ is offered to God
through the priest.

7. In the Last
Supper, Jesus
said: This is My
Body which shall
be given up to
you. He thus
converted the
bread into His
Body.

8. AT THE START OF THE MASS,
The priest approaches the
altar, kissing it as if he were
kissing Jesus Christ.

9. The priest
makes the Sign
of the Cross,
recalling that
the Mass is the
renewal of the
sacrifice of the
Cross.

PENTITENTIAL
ACT,
all of us together
ask forgiveness

to put it into

OF THE GIFTS,

wine. We offer our
life to God.

CONSECRATION
is the principal
moment of the
Mass. Jesus
Christ, through
the priest, converts
the bread and
wine into His Body
and Blood.

15. We pray together the Our Father -the prayer
of God’s children- and the priest gives us
COMMUNION.

16. In order to receive
Communion, we
must observe the
Eucharistic Fast, and
we must be in the
state of grace. If we
are conscious that we
have a grievous sin,
we go first to
Confession.

Holy Mass, the
priest blesses
everybody and
bids farewell to us.
We give thanks to
God.

18. Those who attend Mass must go to
through all places teaching others what
they have learned.

19. The world is waiting for Christ.
We Christians are called to be the
light of the world, the salt of the earth.
