5. Logo secondary colour
The secondary colour is solid black and was chosen
to compliment the main colour both visually an in its
ease of application.
Secondary colour use is reserved for black and white
printing or if the main colour is not available.

Coloured stock use
When printing onto coloured stock, the logo in the
secondary colour should be used. The logo text will
appear reversed out of the coloured stock. This is the
only circumstance in which the logo type can appear
in another colour (i.e. the colour of the stock).

6. Logo clear area
A clear area around the logo will ensure visibility and
impact on every communication.
As illustrated below, the height of the logo is the
standard unit of measurement for calculating the
minimum logo clear area.

7. Logo placement
While the ‘IN Salford’ endorsement logo provides a
high degree of flexibility, consistent placement of the
logo will help to ensure recognition and a cohesive
look across all media.
Following the clearance rule on page 6 of these
guidelines the logo can be placed in any of the four
corners of any page. See examples below.
