ITEC PROJECT ACTIVITY
WHERE THE HELL IS MATT?
Embedding exam preparation in
        learning activities
• Subjects :English language learning using ,
  PRESENT PERFECT TENSE ,geography, new
  technologies of Information.
• Time:8 hours
• Management: whole class ,teamup groups
Aims
• *to integrate videos in curriculum and in
  projects.
• *to use video in the classes for motivating
  the students
• *to make students learn with pleasure .
• *to practice the structure ‘’have you ever….?
• *to learn about the culture of cities around
  the world
Aids

• NETBOOKS
• • Offline: Open Office / Powerpoint /
  Video(where the hell is Matt?)
• • Online: Teamup tool, google
• search,youtube,tricider,
• Video link which is used from youtube :

Students watched the video
       alltogether.
While watching
• I paused the video and the students tried to write
the cities and landmarks ‘names .I asked them
questions using present perfect and try to know if
  students
• already be aware of the landmarks and symbols
  shown in the video.
• Questions
• have you ever been to New York?No,I ‘ve never…..
• Have you ever seen a kangaroo?
• Have you ever visited ….?etc..
Students tried to write their favourite
  cities and answer my questions..
Students asked and answered
questions using ‘have you ever been?’
They ‘re grouped with 4 peers so that
          they can work on
 creating a calendar using ICT tools.
Groups tried to chose and search their
           favourite cities.
Students had the opportunity for
practising a structure using internet.
Each group prepared a powerpoint
          presentation
Students voted each other’s
            powerpoints .
They used tricider for choosing the best
  powerpoint.(a brainstorming and voting tool)

American culture college itec project activity

  • 1. ITEC PROJECT ACTIVITY WHERE THE HELL IS MATT?
  • 2. Embedding exam preparation in learning activities • Subjects :English language learning using , PRESENT PERFECT TENSE ,geography, new technologies of Information. • Time:8 hours • Management: whole class ,teamup groups
  • 3. Aims • *to integrate videos in curriculum and in projects. • *to use video in the classes for motivating the students • *to make students learn with pleasure . • *to practice the structure ‘’have you ever….? • *to learn about the culture of cities around the world
  • 4. Aids • NETBOOKS • • Offline: Open Office / Powerpoint / Video(where the hell is Matt?) • • Online: Teamup tool, google • search,youtube,tricider, • Video link which is used from youtube : • http://www.schooltube.com/video/d50fdaa68cfe 700bf8e2/Where-the-Hell-is-Matt
  • 5. Students watched the video alltogether.
  • 6. While watching • I paused the video and the students tried to write the cities and landmarks ‘names .I asked them questions using present perfect and try to know if students • already be aware of the landmarks and symbols shown in the video. • Questions • have you ever been to New York?No,I ‘ve never….. • Have you ever seen a kangaroo? • Have you ever visited ….?etc..
  • 7. Students tried to write their favourite cities and answer my questions..
  • 8. Students asked and answered questions using ‘have you ever been?’
  • 9. They ‘re grouped with 4 peers so that they can work on creating a calendar using ICT tools.
  • 10. Groups tried to chose and search their favourite cities.
  • 11. Students had the opportunity for practising a structure using internet.
  • 12. Each group prepared a powerpoint presentation
  • 13. Students voted each other’s powerpoints . They used tricider for choosing the best powerpoint.(a brainstorming and voting tool) • www.tricider.com
  • 14. Students learnt with pleasure.
