12. Stories on contamination found and subsequent damage Sometimes the spinners are to compensate 3-5% to their customers to retain good relations. Had to compensate 5-7% of LC value, sometime buyer cancel order. Yarn return from weaving and knitting mills; some times fabric return. Replace yarn. Fire in the blow room line due to presence of metal part, damaging wire of the blow room machines and carding machines. Found cake cotton in bale with dead fiber. Found white poly which no detection machine in spinning process can detect. Pieces of iron in cotton damaged machines and caused fire. Reduced production efficiency. Shoe, broken mobile, stone, steel found during processing; cotton colour affected due packing material contamination. Hard cotton, rotten cotton, cake cotton, black cotton, are source of dead fiber; Rod, nut, bolt, iron pieces, dangerous for machines; white poly not detected by machines.

13. Recommendations to African Ginnery to reduce contamination Clean field before plucking. Don't use poly bags in cotton field. Use white cotton bags for harvesting. Machine plucking instead of hand plucking. Strong supervision during picking, ginning and baling process. Workers to use aprons and scarf and must not carry food materials like chocolate, food packet etc. Careful transportation to ginning factory. Clean cotton before ginning. Careful handling of cotton from oil, grease. Quality assurance measures at all processes.

14. Recommendations to African Ginnery to reduce contamination Sort out contamination during ginning. Use contamination detection machine during ginning. Use automated ginning equipment. Neat and clean environment in ginning factory. Good floor condition of Ginning House. Never store cotton on wet surface. Machine bundling. Avoid wrapping material that may cause contamination. Use cloths instead of Poly for packing. Avoid use of poly bags at every stage.

15. Recommendations to African Ginnery to reduce contamination Pack in cotton fabric. keep away polypropylene from cotton. keep away coloured mats & damaged cotton from fresh cotton. Carefulness at every step of harvesting, transportation, storage, ginning and baling. provide training to workers of ginning factory.
