2.
I decided to call my artists
album “Life” this is because, as I
have mentioned before, the
lyrics of typical rap artists songs
are stories or things that have
happened to the artist during
their Life, hence the name of the
album.
The blurred out effect on the
background connotes the fact
that the artist almost reveals his
life inside, in the lyrics.
3.
Here my artist (to the right) is posing in
front of a brick wall, to connote the
urban/ street genre. Above is the artist
Wiz Khalifa posing using the „Eastside‟
hand signal, these are conventional
between rap artists.
4.
The main dominant image of the
page, again shows the artist
posing, in this case pointing to the
fact file, giving the sense that he is
revealing himself to his readers. As I
mentioned before had signals/poses‟
are conventional throughout all
street/urban artists.
The smaller tile image on the very
left hand side, gives the sense that
the artist is a sort of „Rude-Boy‟
feeling.
5.
The biggest image at the bottom of the
page, gives the reader direct address between
them and the artist, which gives the reader
something that they can relate back to the
artist.
The image in the middle is of my artist in the
schools car park, this again connotes the
urban side of the genre. The bottom right
image is of my artist with a brick wall in the
background, which again connotes the urban
side of the genre. This image also gives direct
address to the reader.
