3. Eph 2 : 19 – 22
19 Now, therefore, you are no
longer strangers and foreigners,
but fellow citizens with the
saints and members of the
household of God, 20 having been
built on the foundation of the
apostles and prophets, Jesus
Christ Himself being the chief
cornerstone, 21 in whom the
whole building, being fitted
together, grows into a holy
temple in the Lord, 22 in whom
you also are being built together
for a dwelling place of God in the
Spirit.
4. Rom 15 : 20

on another man’s foundation,
5.
6. Acts 14 : 21 – 23
21 And when they had preached the gospel to that city and made
many disciples, they returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch,
22 strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to
continue in the faith, and saying, “We must through many
tribulations enter the kingdom of God.”
23 So when they had appointed elders in every church, and prayed
with fasting, they commended them to the Lord in whom they
had believed.
7. 4. Deal with specific
problems and false
teachings or sins
Acts 6 : 1 – 3
Now in those days, when the number

because their widows were
neglected in the daily distribution.
2 Then the twelve summoned the
multitude of the disciples and said,
“It is not desirable that we should
leave the word of God and serve
tables. 3 Therefore, brethren, seek
out from among you seven men of
good reputation, full of the Holy
Spirit and wisdom, whom we may
appoint over this business;
9. And with great power the apostles gave witness to the
resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon
them all.
Truly the signs of an apostle were accomplished among you with
all perseverance, in signs and wonders and mighty deeds.
