2. This was the first time I had used an apple mac and found
them very simple and efficient to use as they are very fast in
loading and are very good for getting a job done quickly. The
apple mac at first had parts of it which was tricky to get used
to but soon enough I grasped the general concept and
found it easy to work on for editing my film. The computer
allowed me to work on my film editing swiftly with its simplistic
controls and the software made it easy to search for
programs I needed. I would certainly use the apple mac
again to edit for my film.
3. Premier pro was a great editing program to use as it allowed me to easily
put together shots from what I had filmed and add effects, edit sound
levels and apply transitions. The program has a simplistic layout and I learnt
very quickly with no problems except from struggling to edit sound levels
because they have no way to increase the sound levels even more from
their recommended. The software was used to put all the clips together to
make my film adding titles over from live type, adding specially edited
clips from after effects and easily applying music or sound effects. I would
certainly use this software again.
4. Adobe after effects was great to use for editing specific clips to
apply special effects to them. I used after effects for both the
main titles to blend blood with the title and also used it to create a
super speed effect on my actors. After effects is tricky to use and I
found it difficult to control sometimes as it is not very well
instructed for beginners. The software requires a basic knowledge
and I just about knew how to work it but eventually created some
good special effects with the software. Once I got the hang of it it
became much easier. I would certainly use this technology again
for another film if heavily orientated around special effects.
5. Livetype was used to create my titles for my film. It was great
to use also being extremely simple to use as all the settings
and functions are laid out simply. Livetype gave me no
problems as this wasn’t the first time using it. I also think it
would be great for amateurs. It allowed me to create titles in
minutes simply and with a great amount of control in what I'm
doing. I would certainly use livetype again for my titles in a
another project.
6. This is the camera that I used to film my shots for the project. The
Nikon D3200. The camera is extremely simple to use and anyone
given one would find it easy to control. The quality of the video
footage is 1080p HD so it came with a great quality resoloution to
film our intro with making our film seem a lot more professional. It is
easily portable and comfortable to film with. The battery is the only
issue as it did run out twice during filming but luckily we had spare
batteries so we could continue. I would certainly use this camera
again for another project.
7. Youtube has played a key part in actually enabling us to upload our
footage online and enabling us to show for reviewing. It is so easy to
use and makes uploading efficient as it allows you to upload the
clip and then leave YouTube to publish it instead of waiting there at
the computer wasting time. There have been no difficulties with
Youtube and I would certainly use it again for another project.
8. Blogger is a great site to allow me to upload any updates on my
film. It is really easy to use and very compatible as it allows me to
embed, link , share videos, share pictures and much more whilst on
the same page. It is easy to setup and great to add in small gadgets
on your blog page to make it more exciting as well as changing the
templates. I do occasionally struggle to embed with this site but
usually it gets sorted out. I would use this site again to publish
updates on my film.
9. This program helped me write out my script to print off and give to
all my actors and crew. The software is complicated but it does
teach you along the way how to write the script. The software also
does teach you how to actually write a proper script and is
interesting to learn how they are properly made. My script is this very
simplistic but this software allowed me to do this easily and
effectively. I would use this program in future projects to write out my
script.
