2. A radio trailer is a form of advertisement that is played on the radio to
make the listeners aware of an upcoming film, event, business or
product.
Commercial radio stations make a lot of revenue from selling airtime to
advertisers. These are called radio spots, when a business pays the
station to have their advert played at specific points in the day.
The target audience for an advertisement has a big effect on the type
of station in which the advert is placed. For example an animation film
would not be advertised on a station such as classic FM as the target
audiences are not at all similar.
3. Information about the film, including; release
date, certificate, and how to view the film as
this is not necessarily the cinema, the advert
may be for a DVD release.
Voice-over with sound and dialogue from the
film.
The purpose is to persuade and advertise to
various audiences in order to interest them in
watching the film.

This is a video containing examples of radio
trailers and advertisements. These were hard
to find as radio trailers very un-common in
the modern day as a result of television. As
TV is a more universally acknowledged format
and so is a more effective way of advertising,
as a well as being able to have the visual
element that radio trailers cannot contain.
