Person a. now focus on a point in the distance, out of a window or somewhere – put your arm out so you are looking at the point. Person a. now Close your eyes – imagine you’re on the beach, looking out to the horizon – you can hear the waves and see where the sky meets the sea – put your arm out as if you were on that beach and point towards that line – person b try and push the arm down. The mind can’t tell the difference between what’s real and what’s not.
