- mariann: We’re going to continue with 23 things. This session will look at what effects 23 things has had on Norwegian libraries. First things first - if I can use a song title in my presentations I’m always happy – so thanks to the Smiths who provided us with the title What difference does it make! This presentation is a cooperation between Jannicke here, and myself. We’ve only met once before this conference, but we’ve had e-mail contact since last December, when my library decided to look at 23 things. Jannicke is one of the leading ladies of 23 things in Norway, and offered plenty of support to my library. 2 words about ourselves: Jannicke: I have got nearly 20 years of experience as a librarian and archivist in both private and public sector For the last 2 years I have worked as a library adviser in Buskerud County Library I was one of four translators and facilitators of the Norwegian version of ”23 things” I have recently started up as a member of a national working group for implementing mobile and social technologies in the ALM sector Mariann: I work as a subject librarian for art and literature at the University Library of Tromsø. I’ve actually been to this conference 5 times now, so as you might guess – I like it here. The reason why I’m here today is actually last years conference, when I heard Helen Blowers and others talk about 23 things. I was so inspired that I went back and asked my library to go ahead with the project too. Luckily, Jannicke and some other librarians were already ahead of me, and had translated the project into Norwegian, so all I had to do was to copy their program.
