2. INT. LIVING ROOM - NIGHT
Opens to a girl and boy standing in a room with a distance
apart. They look mad at each other. Goes to OTS of James as
Maggie turns around. Goes to front view of Maggie, you see
James on the right. Maggie is crying. Goes to shot of
James’s face and goes down to his hand with Maggie’s phone.
He grips it angrily. Cuts to black
JAMES
I don’t want it to end like this...
INT. SCHOOL - DAY
The boy is at his locker as he is putting away books. He
reaches for his bag on the floor. Camera is on floor as he
does. Camera racks focus to someone looking in his general
direction. Goes to side shot of the boy as he closes his
locker. He reaches over to grab his bag. As he comes back
into frame he notices the girl looking at him. Goes to long
shot of them looking into each others eyes. The boy raises
his hand and waves hello to her. She turns around nervously
and dashes away. The boy looks confused. He moves on with
the day. Goes to shot of a clock as it says 7:21
INT. SCHOOL - DAY
Clock says 2:12pm. The boy is going to leave the front
entrance. He stops as he approaches the door. He pats his
sides, checking his pockets.
BOY
Shoot, left my phone in my locker.
The boy turns back and speed walks back to his locker. As he
approaches his locker, he notices a post-it sticking out
from the side. He takes it off and reads it.
NOTE
Hey there James...So...I think I
like you... let’s meet up tomorrow
after school at the main entrance.
The boy stares at the note. He looks confused and folds it
up. He walks off camera. A few seconds of just his locker as
he runs back as he opens his locker to get his phone.
3. 2.
INT. SCHOOL - DAY
James is waiting by the main entrance. He checks his watch.
He waits for a few seconds and then walks off screen. Camera
goes in front of him as he is walking to his locker. He
notices someone by his locker. Goes to side shot of the girl
at his locker. The girl slips in a note through the locker
door. She turns to walk away and notices James. She stops
and looks at him as he does the same.
BOY
Hey there.
The girl looks nervous/stunned.
EXT. PARK DAY
Tracking shot of the two as they are walking through a park.
They have their school bags. They walk together on the
pathway. They keep a decent distance from each other.
JAMES
So...Maggie...its been a while
hasn’t it
Maggie looks embarrassed as she looks to the side a bit.
MAGGIE
Yeah it has hasn’t it...
They continue to walk. James turns to face Maggie.
JAMES
You want to maybe do something over
the weekend? Maybe see a movie at
my place? You haven’t been over in
ages.
Maggie looks nervous
MAGGIE
Uh... Ok sure...
INT. JAMES’S HOUSE - NIGHT
James and Maggie are sitting on a couch with a movie playing
in the background. There is a bowl of popcorn in between
them. James reaches to get some and so does Maggie. Their
hands touch. They bring their hands back.
JAMES
Oh...uh go...

MAGGIE
No it’s okay, you can go...
JAMES
No you can go.
Maggie looks at James. James looks back. They look at each
other in the eye. They laugh together and continue to watch
the movie.
Goes to close up of James as he watches. He get startled a
little and looks to his left. Maggie fell is on his
shoulder, sleeping. James looks at her and smiles. Goes to
close up of Maggie as she wakes up. She realizes she was on
James’s shoulder and quickly gets off.
MAGGIE
Oh my god, sorry!
JAMES
(laughing)
It’s alright. I guess the movie was
kinda boring wasn’t it?
Maggie’s phone goes off. She takes it and checks it.
MAGGIE
Oh, my mom is here.
Maggie gets up and walks out of frame.
JAMES
Oh, I’ll get the door for you.
Maggie and James are at the door. James unlocks at and opens
it.
MAGGIE
Well... bye.
JAMES
See you later... We should hangout
again..
MAGGIE
Yeah we should.
Maggie goes outside. James is at the door way and waves bye.
He closes the door and locks it. He looks forward for a
second and then smiles.
5. 4.
Goes to a 15-20 second montage of them hanging out. Goes
through them holding hands. playing games together. head on
shoulder, first kiss. Ends with Maggie receiving a letter
from a college. They both look sad. Maggie and James hug.
EXT. MAGGIE’S HOUSE - DAY
Maggie and James are in front of her house. They hug for the
last time and Maggie runs off screen. A car door is heard
and drives away. James waves bye.
6 Months Pass by.
INT. JAMES’S HOUSE - NIGHT
James is on his phone, texting Maggie. You see that their
last message was sent 3 months ago. Maggie tells James that
she’s going to come back for the weekend. James looks
excited. Goes to montage of him putting on nice clothing.
Goes to shot of him opening the door. Maggie walks in and
smiles. Goes to shot of them on the couch, watching a movie,
with a bowl of popcorn.
MAGGIE
I’m going to use the bathroom.
JAMES
Ok, want me to pause it?
MAGGIE
Nah, it’s ok.
Maggie gets up and walks off screen. 3 seconds pass.
Maggie’s phone goes off. A text appears and James takes
notice. He looks at it. The text reads "Hey baby, how’s it
going :3 - Ryan". James looks at it with confusion and
anger. Maggie walks back into the room and sees James. James
turns his head to look at Maggie, phone in hand.
