Subject: Consideration for Employment at your Organization
Administrative Position - Resume and Cover Letter
Dear Sir or Madam,
Thank you in advance for your time and careful review of my cover letter and resume. Please accept this
letter as an application for consideration of employment at your organization.
I aim to acquire a position within a firm that is seeking a competent, sincere and trustworthy individual
capable of making a positive contribution. I offer a solid and diverse background (Non-Profit, Small Business
and Corporate America) that can be drawn upon and applied to any situation or setting. I welcome challenge,
responsibility, and the opportunity to make a commitment to your organization.
Throughout my 10 years of experience in office management & administration functions, I have always
prided myself with providing a high level of service, confidentiality, managing time efficiently and having the
ability to handle multiple tasks, such as spreadsheets, expense reports, travel arrangements and taking other
actions that compliment an organization’s goals, simultaneously. In my profession there are standards and
expectations – overall, I always aim to go above and beyond the anticipated call of duty.
Presentation of Professional Capabilities – Enclosed
As an experienced business administration professional, I am confident I can deliver results that will
enhance your organization’s platform. As the sole Executive Assistant to Wall Street Veteran, Quintano
Downes, CEO of APB Financial Group, LLC, I was responsible for calendar management, meeting scheduling,
coordinating conference calls, and providing the trading desk with administrative support. I also had the honor
to have entrusted in me the responsibilities of Client Relations Manager. My aim was to enhance relationships
with house accounts (Hedge Funds, Investment Managers), encourage customer loyalty, promote repeat
business (Trading & Execution: US Equity and Fixed Income) and aid in acquiring new clients. By combining
creative and technical aspects into my overall approach, I was able to distribute information at great capacities
and implement an electronic customer relationship management system.
This past year at APB, my accomplishments included: 18 Completed RFI/ RFP/ Questionnaires, 16
MBE Directed Plan Sponsor and Manager of Managers Program Approvals, Aided with 10 Newly Opened
DVP Client Accounts, Organized 700+ APB LinkedIn Group Members and a Customized CRM Database with
40K Industry Firms/190K Contacts. I truly enjoyed strategizing about various marketing initiatives, working on
establishing a business identity, exposing that identity to the investment community, implementing my very
own tactical marketing plan and working with Mr. Downes on innovative products; such as an Independent
Research Platform with 15+ Providers and a Capital Introduction Program as significant value-add offerings to
active and prospective clients.

4. Prior to joining APB, as Senior Executive Assistant to Wall Street Hall of Famer, Patricia Winans, CEO
of MAGNA Securities Corp. for 5 years, I served as a domestic and international gatekeeper for company
personnel (NY, IL, & UK), clients, and industry executives. At MAGNA, I was responsible for a wide variety
of administrative functions such as arranging overseas and nationwide travel, preparing correspondence, letters,
memoranda, reports and handling confidential materials. With a self-starter mentality, I also took upon myself
several initiatives in the field of Data Management & eMarketing. I was able to structure a contact database
tailored for the use of an MBE broker dealer firm. My database had a major role in increasing our sales team’s
performance by providing MAGNA’s registered representatives with a complete view of client interactions
across six trading desks (i.e. Canadian & Asian Equity Desks); this in turn enabled our team to collaborate and
respond promptly and knowledgeably to client inquiries and opportunities.
I too had a prominent role in MAGNA’s RFP responses to Plan Sponsors, Consultants and Investment
Managers. I maintained a knowledge base of ready-to-use RFP content for faster and more efficient turnaround
of answers. I was responsible for making sure our RFP replies remained current, accurate and relevant to each
of MAGNA’s products and services. My knowledge base also allowed me to apply for and maintain company
M/WBE Certifications nationwide (24+ states). eMarketing initiatives included design of MAGNA’s eBrochure
and creating highly effective/tracked e-mail campaigns, which were instrumental to reaching out to prospective
and active clients on a very large scale.
Sample Work – Provided Upon Request
Thank you very much for your time and careful consideration for employment. I look forward to the
possibility of learning more about your organization and hearing from you in the near future to schedule an
interview at your convenience. Have a pleasant day!
Respectfully,
Jennifer Diaz
