Hi there, my name is Jene van der Heide and I’m working for the Dutch cadastre, land registry and mapping agency, in short: Kadaster. I’m a senior advisor at the Kadaster. My background lies in spatial planning and geographical information. I prepared this presentation with Movares, mister Wouter van Engelen. He is a BIM-specialist, please stand up so people recognize you and will ask all kinds of questions to you after this presentation. This presentation takes you along the way government and market are working together on data in temporal situation (projects) and .
What you need to know about the dutch Cadastre, land registry and mapping agency.
In 2020 zijn van alle assets (gebouwen, spoor-, water- en autowegen, kunstwerken, kabels en leidingen, …) en hun omgeving (bodem, lucht, …) kwalitatief hoogstaande data aanwezig en toegankelijk. Voor het beheren, aanpassen, slopen, nieuw bouwen van assets levert dit winst op; betere besluitvorming (mkba’s), lagere (risico’s op) faalkosten, lagere transactiekosten, efficiënter asset management, …
Het beeld dat ik voor ogen heb is die van jouw neerdalende huizen in 3D, voorzien van labels met informatie: functie / eigendomsrecht / energielabel / max aantal dba op gevel / constructieve zaken / … Deze dalen neer in een omgeving waar ook veel informatie aanwezig is: grondkwaliteit, eigenaren, bestaande infra, hoogte, bestaande kabels en leidingen, cultuur historisch erfgoed, …
Wat als deze data beschikbaar is?

Let’s have a closer look on how we are doing business right now: maturaty issue; how do we grow up as good as we can?
Example of ground drillings as side effect; there is competition between market parties based on data. Why? Shouldn’t these parties compete on intelligence – on what you do with data?
Zoals het nu gaat; we redden ons een heel eind, maar onnodige kosten en risico’s. En ook onnodige concurrentie op beschikbaarheid data ipv concurrentie op wat je met die data kan doen.
Information delivery specs are being used. Very good, but do the different asset owners use the same methods, definitions, infrastructure? What is general data and what is specific data not suitable for sharing?
Project klaar. Resultaten worden overgedragen. Opdrachtgever krijgt objectdata. Op z’n best gaat dit bij de opdrachtgever goed de systemen in, maar wat als derden deze data ook willen gebruiken voor een project in het zelfde gebied. Stroomt die data dan vanzelf mee in een nieuwe opdracht? Dit lost het shoppen aan het begin van een project naar data niet op.
The spatial avenue of the environment is a major assignment in how we deal with spatial data in spatial issues on all levels. It requires all we dream of in the GEO and BIM world.

You can use this diagram for a lot of issues; for instance; collecting asset data; So far the mindset, now we can zoom in !
The same for asset management. For instance the window cleaner. It’s normal to inform the candidates about how many windows there are to clean, how high, etc next to the requirements – how clean they must be. You don’t want every candidate to count for themselves the number of windows etc.
