School Designs is…
Comprehensive
A meticulous educational approach is complemented by strategic involvement of family and
community.

Flexible
There’s no one thing that makes a school truly superior. It is a complex equation of many factors that,
when they rely on each other, create a seamless formula for success.
Tested
Since our first schools opened in 1995, EdisonLearning School Designs has had the privilege to work
successfully with district and charter partners in over two hundred schools nationwide.
Innovative
EdisonLearning uses educational technology to perform two critical tasks:
•to better prepare students for life in a tech-based society and global workforce.
•to better customize instruction to meet the needs and interests of all students.

Lincoln Charter School
In 1999, the School District of the City of York in Pennsylvania was struggling with student achievement.

Schools were not performing well, with students at Lincoln Elementary schools performing at the lowest level in the
district. The superintendent, with the support of a group of parents and teachers from Lincoln Elementary School,
sought a new approach to help improve the school.

Lincoln Charter School consistently outperforms the other elementary schools in the York City School
District. From 2002 to 2009, PSSA Reading scores have risen by 25.2 points at Lincoln Charter
School, as compared to other schools that have risen on average 14 points. In Math, the point gains
are 29.2 points for Lincoln Charter School, as compared to 23 points for other schools in the district.

What People Are Saying

“We stand out from other schools because of our EdisonLearning school design; our outstanding curriculum,

provide regular, real-time assessments of student performance allowing us to adjust and inform instruction for
each individual child… Without these tools and this structure we wouldn’t be able to perform at the level we’re
          performing right now.”
