50%+ of site purchases are by consumers who browse the taxo. That means hundreds of millions of dollars. I don’t need to justify the taxo department as vital to my company, because it’s how more than half of our customers buy things. The CEO of a Fortune 50 company knows & cares about what taxonomy is and how it affects the business. The defense “this is what will sell more things” wins most arguments. Good taxo will ALWAYS sell more things

It’s NOT about this. No one ever needs to know about this.

Books are for use. Every reader his [or her] book. Every book its reader. Save the time of the reader. The library is a growing organism.
