Internal Relations Assignment
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The need at hand is to get The Bier Stein employees involved with using social media
to benefit the workplace. A paycheck stuffer will be used to inform which social media
will be used proactively and what kind of benefits will come from use of such web sites.
The letter will be short in length and actively highlight how the use of social media can
educate their audience, build a solidified team through publication of events, and build a
better brand of The Bier Stein being the place to go to get a craft beer.
In order to make sure everyone is on board with this idea, there will also be a date set
for a future meeting that will incorporate feedback from the employees as well as hold a
discussion on how they can participate to make the online identity of The Bier Stein a
remarkable place to get local news of craft brewing selections arriving in Eugene.

2. To all Bier Stein Employees:
Beginning January 1, we will be ramping up our use with our social media web sites on
Facebook and Twitter. We’re looking forward to having you all be a part in making the
Bier Stein the place to go to get craft beer.
We already use Facebook and Twitter for our food specials of the day and what’s on
draft, but we’d like to incorporate more pictures of special events that happen. We want
to show our customers that we’re happy about our work environment and try to
encourage them to add photos to our Facebook.
A group meeting will be held after work on January 20 to see how everyone likes the
increased use of social media. If you have any questions, that day would be a great time
to ask them. Additionally, if you have any tips on how better use Facebook or Twitter,
please enlighten us all. There will be free draft beer on tap for employees who attend the
group meeting.
Please feel free to incorporate the Bier Stein into your online social life. Tag our
restaurant in your messages and in any pictures you may have.
