5. Culture As for race, Kotkins believes the races will diversify even more with Asians and Hispanics becoming more prominent. No other country can experience so many different cultures in one place. The Unites States has the benefits of enjoying different foods, attitudes and traditions from cultures around the world. With the races diversifying so much, the white Americans are expected to mostly disappear with the next hundred million people.

6. Going Green Another important factor of the future is saving the planet with renewable energy and several things like it. With global warming and the quality of the O zone layer more people will be driving electric cars, carpooling, or not driving at all. A sign of this is the current gas prices. Our access to these resources is becoming incredibly hard to find. The solution to this problem is to find alternatives to live with.

8. Our Future The author believes the market place will be controlled by three main forces; The US, Europe, and China. These three powers will compete to have power over the third world. The Unites States would use its military protection, Europe offers economic association, and China would bring condition free relationships to the table.

The author also say that the second world countries new to be kept an eye on, especially for the United States so that they do not become a second world country.
