2. What is special about them?
 Tatra Mountains is Part of the Carpathian
Mountains.
 This mountain range is one of the highest in
Europe.
 It provides really alpine landscapes.
 It is inhabited by a small ethnic group called ‘ the
highlanders’ – gorale.
 The mountains are home to many species in
danger: tatra chamois, red deer, brown bears and
many more.
 The highest point in Poland – Rysy 2,499 m.
 Tatras are protected by law – UNESCO.
