3. BlogTalkRadio Home Page BlogTalkRadio hosts create shows by just using a phone. They register, program a show, call in as a host and stream live online. They can let callers talk during their show, play pre-uploaded mp3’s (music, pre-recorded interviews) and the entire show is archived and made available as a podcast within 30 minutes of completion.
4. BlogTalkRadio – Getting Started To learn how to register on BlogTalkRadio, please visit: www.youtube.com/blogtalkradio and watch the video pictured at left. It takes five minutes to register and program your first show. To the right is our Switchboard that allows a host to call in and unmute callers so they can speak during a show. Hosts can upload mp3’s (middle) to have music during their show, and a text chat (below) lets users interact during the show. People listen to shows online, or via the phone, and by pressing the number “1” phone listeners can let hosts know they want to ask a question.
5. BlogTalkRadio – Host Profile and Widgets Host profile pages (above) list upcoming shows (black background) or feature past archives where visitors can play, download, or share their shows. Hosts can list their main site/blog URL’s (upper right) along with other personal info. Visitors can also subscribe to their RSS feed/podcast. Individual Audio Player widgets (below) are created for each host show. BTR provides code for hosts to post these on their own blog. These play a host’s most recent show—other badges are provided to link to all their archives.
6. Advertising / Monetization We’re currently running pre-roll audio/video ads in host shows and running banner ads as well. Our ad-insertion technology allows us to refresh commercials with updated messages at any time. CPM rates for rich media are higher than banners. To the left is a picture of a show in progress.
7. BlogTalkRadio Business Solutions BlogTalkRadio’s Business Solutions allow organizations to use their streaming technology on their own sites or on our Social Radio Stations (described below). Current clients include Sun Microsystems, Fox Sports and the U.S. Department of Defense. These are briefly described below to show how our technology is being utilized in multiple environments off of our main site. Conferencing and Live Streaming Services : Our robust tools allow for text chat, hand-raising, and caller-screening features that can be placed on a client’s site or even behind a firewall. International attendees can listen/participate online, and attendees can also listen in via phone. Our solution is a lot less expensive than competitors who force calls/shows to happen in their environment. Plus archives/mp3’s of shows are standard along with the RSS feeds as well. Social Radio Stations: Ten BTR profiles are aggregated in a unique portal branded to look like a client’s site. When this Social Radio Station is on BTR’s site, clients get the benefit of our traffic (2.4M listeners in January and growing at 20%/month), plus multiple revenue streams via banner and audio ads where all the revenue goes to a client. Event Broadcasting : We can provide an onsite Radio Station for clients and broadcast live before/during an event to drive attendance and feature call-in shows happening during a conference. We help schedule interviewees and put our technology on client’s site so call-in shows stream live to build buzz around an event. Production Services: We provide consultation and production services to make the Business Solutions experience as turnkey as if a client were the General Manager of their own Radio Station and all you had to do is oversee and approve the shows being created under a brand. Our Business Solutions provide an interactive, monetizable and affordable alternative to client marketing and communications initiatives. 9. Social Radio Stations on BlogTalkRadio Multiple profiles are aggregated in a client’s own branded portal on BlogTalkRadio. All advertising revenue goes to a client, and our 2.4M listeners and vibrant community helps drive traffic to a client’s Station and their main site. Shows can also be simulcast to a client’s site while airing live on a Station. To see an example of how the BTR Station model works, please visit: http://www.palegroove.com/btr/asy/
