What are 21st Century Skills? Analysis of Six Main Standards Documents: Partnership for 21st Century Skills International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) - 3 American Association of School Libraries (AASL) Colorado Revised Academic Standards Documents Four Main Strands: Learning, Creativity, Innovation, Inquiry and Critical Thinking Communication and Collaboration 21st Century Fluency (Information, Media and Technology) Personal Growth,  Autonomy and Global Citizenship
School District 27J Global Ends and 21st Century Skills District 27J exists so that students have the knowledgeand skills for present and future success Students achieve academic excellence. They meet or exceed all state and federal academic standards appropriate to their grade. Students have the ability to think critically. Students have the ability to govern themselves successfully. They are self-directed and self-motivated. They have the knowledge and desire to maintain personal health. They have a sound sense of morals and ethics. Students have the requisite life skills to be successful in their lives. They exhibit superior relationship skills. They are tolerant. They are post-secondary ready. Students learn and embrace good citizenship. They have an appreciation of our nation’s foundations, traditions, and history. They are globally aware. They look beyond themselvesto the greater good.
