Introduction Current social media includes: Facebook page –No fan interaction, but lots of positive feed back No Twitter No Blog No Four Square
SWOT Analysis Strengths: Facebook page has positive feedback Good reviews on http://www.yelp.com/biz/mexican-village-too-saint-cloud  Strong brand name & Consumer base in St. Cloud area They have free birthday meals
SWOT Analysis Weaknesses: Limited promotion with facebook No Twitter No Blog Don’t engage much with fans on facebook (very slow at answering questions)
SWOT Analysis Opportunities: Could offer special perks on social media sites to engage and connect with loyal customers. To be the first Mexican restaurant in Central Minnesota to fully engage fans and customers on social networking sites. Threats: Their strongest competition in the St. Cloud Area is La Casita, who also has a limited social media presence, but could create one and win over fans if Mexican Village Too doesn’t move fast enough.
Current Website The design is very hectic Hard to navigate Changes to be made: Make a more simple design without so much going on Have a link to Facebook, twitter, blog
Facebook Employees usually sing to birthday boy/girl and have them wear a sombrero. NOW after being sung happy birthday employees will snap a picture that will be posted on facebook. If the people “like” the fan page & tag themselves in the picture, they will get a free meal. Employees will also post favorite drinks and dishes on the Fan page. Cinco de Mayo promotion for best plan, picture and story
Twitter Twitter: “The Salsa Challenge”: Questions will be posted on twitter and first person to get the right answer wins a free salsa. “Thank Mexican Village, it’s Friday!”: Questions will be tweeted every Friday, and the first person to tweet back the right answer will win a date night with free food and drinks. Blogs: `The blog will be linked to the Mexican Village Too website, Facebook page and Twitter page.  Employees can blog about their favorite dishes, drinks and new menu items. Hashtag for Cinco de Mayo to promote holiday not the restaurant
Blog Serve as a venue for cooks and servers to talk about Mexican recipes Mexican traditions Great drinks to go with meals Not to sell the restaurant but to create relationships with customers and a resource for Mexican cuisine Also pitch new promotions and events to other bloggers for more of an online presence
Foursquare First “check-in” free dessert Sunday. 5th “check-in” half-off any appetizer on this visit or a coupon for next visit. 10th “check-in” half-off any lunch special on next visit. 15th “check-in” $20 gift card “Mayor” $50 gift card
